“change of culture and relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2011

I wanted a complete escape from the UK for a few days, to a different culture, yet with as short a flight as possible, to be able to make the most of a warmer climate in November. Marrakesh fitted the bill, and wow, what a place.
A short interesting drive from the airport, I was met, as arranged by management, by a baggage carrier who took me to the Riad through the maze of narrow streets. It was very exciting and there was a real buzz with all the traders and activity. I wondered where I was going, but it was only a 5 minute walk to the Riad and on entry it was a different world - peaceful and tranquil. My room was beautifully furnished in traditional Moroccan style and very clean. There was a television, DVD, i pod station, still and sparkling water, luxurious towels, bath robes, toiletries and a hairdryer. Heating or air conditioning was available in the room if required. There was a good selection of DVD's, books on Morocco, and a laptop in the small comfortable library. The Moroccan staff could speak English and were lovely; helpful and friendly. My breakfast was amazing, and consisted of freshly squeezed orange juice, a yogurt drink, tea or coffee, traditional bread, croissant, pancake, a selection of freshly prepared fruit, a variety of jams, and one morning I had a boiled egg. It was enough to last me all day! In the evening I ate out at restaurants recommended by the hotel manager. The sun terrace was a wonderful place to sit and read during the day. Evening meals were served here if taken, with an open fire to take off the evening chill.
I found the Moroccans friendly and not too persistent while out exploring the Medina. The Riad is well positioned only about 10 minutes walk from the square. I would recommend a Hammam, the Moroccan spa bath and massage. The manager of the Riad arranged it for me, and would have arranged other trips if I had wanted. I was shown around the other Riads owned by Pureriads and all were a high quality with their own unique charm. I would recommend Marrakesh as a destination, most definitely Riad Adore. I can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Manager very happy to advise on room type to suit your requirements. The bed was comfortable.

A wonderful short break away from cold London to sunny and warm Marrakech, staying in this beautiful riad in the heart of the Medina. Everything was just perfect - the location, the caring and attentive staff, the cuisine, and our room (Zahia) was simply stunning - traditional but with all the creature comforts of home - iPod station, TV, DVD, superb free toiletries in the sumptuous bathroom and lovely thick white towels. Than you so much for a lovely stay. (Would also recommend the hammam and massage at the sister riad, Riad Tzarra)

We stayed at the Adore in november with 3 days of rain en low temperatures, so a warm and nice temperary home is essential. I think we made the right choice to stay at Adore. It was confortabke and welcome. We have been well taken care of and enjoyed the stylefull decorated place. I guess the rooftop is fantastic with good weather but even with colder weather and the fireplace on was nice and cosy. Location is good. Parking (daytime) nearby is small but they will find a place for you also it is easy to find. Nice breakfast. Very good suggestion for restaurants and spa's. We would stay here again but then in warmer season.

We found Riad Adore on hipmarrakech.com and were extremely pleased with our choice. The Riad and the rooms are decorated to a very high standard and the roof terrace is a great place to relax during the day (maybe not at noon due to the heat!) or after dinner with a glass of wine. Stuart and Nicky are wonderful hosts and could not be more warm and welcoming. They provide an immense amount of information on the area, local customs to be adhered to and general knowledge about Marrakech. We would definitely return here if we came back to Marrakech. It is situated 5 mins walk inside the Old Town perimeter and approximately 10-15mins walk from the market square. It is quite the hidden gem and seriously great value for money.

This was our first trip to Morocco and after spending several hours looking through trip advisor reviews we decided on Riad Adore. We thought that it would be great to have something that was close to the main square and in the medina to get a real feel of the history of Marrakech.

Once we arrived in Marrakech we met an extremely friendly cab driver who brought us close to the riad and then handed our luggage over to some kids who he said would assist us with navigating our way through the medina maze to Riad Adore. He went on to state that we should pay them 2 Euros tops for this service and no more. The "boys" seemed friendly until we gave them the 2 Euro at which time they threw it on the ground stating that it was useless to them. We originally thought that this was a scam to get more money, however, after further investigation, found this to be the truth as it is hard for them to exchange euro coins. FYI it is a good idea to have some Durham(local currency) when you arrive and negotiate fees prior to any services given.

Back to the riad .... it was amazing very clean, great service and phenominal food.

We stayed at this wonderful Riad for three nights in mid-October. After spending hours and hours on Tripadvisor and Lonely Planet and suffering from extensive analysis paralysis while trying to pick a place to stay in Marrakesh we decided to go with this option.

Overall our experience was excellent and would recommend this Riad to other travelers. The location is very convenient - a 10-15 minute to the main square Jemaa El Fna and a 5 minute walk to the closest car drop off point. Make sure you coordinate in advance of your arrival with the Riad so they can have a person that works for them carry your bags as opposed to a random kid on the street that offers to carry your stuff - many of them are annoying and a pain to deal with. There are many Riads closer to Jemaa El Fna, but if you want a more quiet location this one is perfect.

The Riad is very quiet and not very close to a mosque which enabled us to enjoy our sleep every night. Amal was extremely helpful in sharing tips about exploring Marrakesh, booking a guide for us to explore the sights, as well as a day trip to Essaouira. The prices of the guide and tour were reasonable and the guide and driver excellent to deal with.

The room was very nice and spacious, but indeed a bit on the dark side as others have commented, as there is not a lot of sunlight coming in. The bathroom was also very nice and the AC worked perfectly.

My only recommendation would be for the owners to install small refrigerators in the room. Breakfast was excellent - but I would have appreciated more generous quantities of the fresh orange juice which was amazing.

Overall we had a wonderful stay at this Riad and we found it to be practical as a base to explore the medina and would recommend without hesitation.

Marrakech was our final stop on our honeymoon in Morocco and the Riad Adore was the perfect way to end our trip. Hidden down one of the winding alleys that make the medina the place it is, Riad Adore is a beatiful and peaceful place - the perfect antidote to a day spent in the craziness that is Marrakech.

Riad Adore is wonderfully furinished, spotlessly clean and in the perfect location for being close enough to wander to the souks and the main square, but far enough to escape the action when you need to. Although the hospitality and comfort, the honesty bar, the DVD library and the comfortably furnished roof terrace (with the delicious breakfast spreads) mean you never actually want to leave!

We stayed in the Bahia suite - a beautiful and spacious suite with stunning decor and luxurious furinishings. If you're willing to spend a little extra to get this suite - I would recommend it 100%!

The owners and the staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful - they will do anything they can to make your stay perfect. Whether explaining how to deal with the hassle in the Medina, showing you the best sights on a map or booking the best tables in the best restaurants, they will do anything and everything! They really helped us make the most of our time in Marrakesh and we hope to come back soon!
