My mum and I ate at 16 Cafe twice during our holiday in Marrakech. The first time was on the basis of other Tripadvisor recommendations. On 16 June we were the first customers to get the new menu and we were spoilt for choice. There is a good selection of hot and cold food plus interesting teas, luscious desserts and mouth-watering ice-creams and sorbets.
Mum had a crab & avocado sandwich; I had a burger. Both came with salad and lovely, chunky 'frites' on skewers for dipping. The presentation was impressive. We shared the superb assiette of patisserie, sorbet and macaroons for dessert and took more macaroons back to our riad. Yes, we were greedy girls! It was all so good, we couldn't resist. We even went back on our last day in Marrakech and had the assiette again!
It's expensive by Marrakech standards, but not by European standards. The decor is fresh, modern but nothing special. The pedestrian area it is on is good for people-watching but not particularly characterful. We found the service a little slow, but friendly.
Overall, I strongly recommend this cafe for a little indulgence.
