This fabulous little restaurant will provide some respite from the labyrinth of the Medina. The staff are genuine, welcoming, reassuringly friendly and swift.
My partner and I have visited this restaurant a few times for lunch and dinner. The menu is simply divine. It is not over-complicated or over-priced, with enough choice to satisfy almost anyone.
Personally, I would recommend the Moroccan samosas (fairy fingers) as an entree, if only to enjoy the fabulous sauce that accompanies this dish. The chef's special seared beef and mushroom jus with courgette tagliatelle and fondante potatoes is my personal favourite.
Over three visits, we have tried a wide selection of the menu with no complaints whatsoever.
Just a note for anyone ordering a beef dish: it may arrive slightly more cooked than you have asked, perhaps bear this in mind when ordering. The chicken was also a tad dry but delicious nonetheless.
The deserts are orgasmic. Just orgasmic. Order one even if you are full. The duet of creme brûlée are beautiful and obviously perfect for sharing.
Now for the coffee... They use the finest Italian coffee beans, freshly ground for each individual cup. You might consider the coffee to be a tad nonconventional if you like a cappuccino - it resembles more of a hot chocolate. However, the espresso is like no other: perfect crema, super-smooth and a pure joy to taste. One could not wish for a better espresso!
The restaurant is very clean throughout. As you climb the stairs to the terrace, you are also able to catch a glimpse to the kitchen - it was spotless!
