“Great food, good cocktails and coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

A local favourite for us as its just around the corner from our Riad. We have eaten several times at this lovely restaurant. The rooftop is beautifully decorated in Moroccan style while downstairs feels more like a European cafe. Great coffee and deserts i had a wonderful lemon meringue tarte. Delicious main meals in Moroccan or European style. We will be going again

“Good food, nice terrace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

This was a great place to come and escape from the madness of marrakech! The terrace was very well decorated and comfortable. Food was very good, as was the service. We had any evening meal here, arriving about 1930, it started getting busy at about 2030. Overall, very impressed and easier to find than pepenero!

“Great lunch.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Sat up on the terrace to have lunch, several steps to climb to get there. Food was a very good standard and very fresh. I would recommend.
As with a lot of Marrakech restaurants they do not sell alcohol and I would have loved to have had a glass of chilled white with the lunch....coffee just wasn't the same :)

Delicious dishes and perfect service. Seared beef recommended. This restaurant is certainly one of the best in the riad zitoun jdid quarter.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

We wanted something quite light to eat at around 9pm in the evening and had passed by this little restaurant earlier in the day. We thought the menu looked like a nice change from traditional Moroccan food so we checked TA and found it well rated and thought we would give it a try. We sat right at the top of the building on the rooftop terrace with only two other tables occuped. We ordered cream of carrot soup with almonds which was OK but lacking in much flavour. We followed this with a duck and goats cheese salad and a "Thai" chicken dish. The salad was sprinkled with balsamic vinegar, a few meagre slices of smoked duck, walnuts that tasted mouldy and goats cheese sandwiched in the middle of small choux pastry buns that were dry and burned in their bases. The Thai chicken was not remotely resembling Thai food and was accompanied by some kind of sauce that had more in common with an oxo cube than anything else. We did pass our comments on to the owner who apologised and said that they would revise the sauce or not call the dish Thai chicken. Perhaps we just went on a bad day or too late but from our experience we certainly couldn't recommend.
