We were two families with 3 children and rented this riad exclusively. The price included a delicious, huge breakfast and the services of a housekeeper/cook who was there most days until about 5pm, and came back in the evening if we wanted her to cook us dinner.
The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Matresses were firm and really comfortable. The bathrooms are quite small but functional. Generally, we found the riad was exactly as described on its website. It was a relief to have airconditioning in the bedrooms because in July it was 40 degrees at night.
The living room is quite small but the sofas are big and very comfortable. With just a fan and no outside windows, it got quite stuffy though.
There is a small courtyard and a tiny pool - more like an oversized bathtub. The kids loved it and it was good for dipping your feet in to keep cool.
The roof terrace is great in the evening, with nice views over the rooftops.
The housekeeper was wonderful. She made delicious breakfasts, cleaned up patiently after our kids, cooked good dinners (portions could have been a bit bigger) and was generally lovely. The riad manager came round a few times to check if everything was ok and was also very helpful.
The location of this riad is excellent. It's near a street with lots of stalls selling fruit, vegetables, drinks and other food and about 10 minutes walk to the Place Jemaa El Fna, through the Souks. There's access to cars nearby, so you don't have to walk long with your baggage to get there. And it's not too hard to find either.
If you're a group of friends or families, I definately recommend renting a riad out just for you. The architecture of riads means they're quite noisy and confined. All the rooms look inwards and it's hard to maintain privacy. As we had loud kids with us, it would have been a huge hassle trying to keep them quiet and well-behaved if we had stayed in a riad with other guests.
I did quite a lot of research into riads and prices before booking this one, and it was cheaper than the other riads I found. I'd say it was excellent value for money, considering you have air conditioning and a pool.
