“A beautiful Riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

My family and I stayed at this riad for 4 nights, We then went and stayed in Agadir for 5 nights in a hotel (which we didn't enjoy) and then came back to the riad for 2 nights and all I can say is that it was like coming home. This riad is beautiful in it's traditional Morrocan set up with lovely rooms which are cleaned daily, all with lovely bathrooms and and nice hot showers. But what sets this Riad apart is the people who run it, from the 3 owners to the other staff who work there. Beatrice, stephanie and Bridgett the owners of the Riad run the riad really well and very easy going nice ladies. Mohammed who speaks English really well is the most helpful well mannered person you are likely to meet. Wait until you taste Hajiras beef tagine. We can honestly say that was the tastiest tagine we had in Morroco. Overall an excellent Riad with exceptional people. Thank you. Abdullah and Khadija

We really enjoyed our stay at this Riad in May 2013. As you walk through the door you are welcomed, as you leave the noise, bustle and heat of the Medina. There, you enter a quiet, cool and friendly atmosphere, where the admirable young Mohammed makes you mint tea, and serves you Moroccan cake on your arrival. The Riad is kept spotlessly clean, and the beds are the most comfortable you are likely to find. There is a delightful young lady who cooks the local foods and always has a smile for you. We found Beatrice, one of the owners to be most helpful and pleasant, all in all it was excellent value and hope to return before too long.

Hello, Thanks for your contribution. It was just a pleasure for us to receive you and your daughters in our riad, and try to help you to discover our lovely city. Perhaps we will get the chance to see you again with your all familly here. Take care

On a recent visit to Dar Limoun Amara in Marrakech we got lost in the alleyways on our way back. We asked someone to guide us and they took us to a very different Riad but with the same name! This review is about Dar Limoun Amara,71 Derb Jamaa Riad,Zitoun Jdid. The riad is run by 3 lovely ladies and is truly a home away from home. Once inside the front door you enter a beautiful, airy sitting area which is open to the elements. We had a fabulous room for myself and 2 daughters, plenty of room with walk in shower, seperate WC and washing area with plenty of storage space. There was one huge double bed and one single bed.and the room opened onto the sitting area. The terrace on top of the building was cool on one side where you could sit in the shade and on the other side there were two very comfortable sun loungers for the sun worshippers. We ate at the riad on the last day and the food was mouthwateringly good and very reasonable. The chef is a young lady who excels in home cooked food. The gem of our stay was Mohammed. He was such a charming young man and his English is superb so he was able to give us directions etc,., and he also has a lot of local knowledge. We would like to take this opp. to wish him well with his forthcoming exams. In in all, this place has it all, wonderful rooms, so clean throughout, friendly atmosphere and staff and you just feel free to come and go as you like. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

My partner and I stayed at this Riad for a week in April. We originally booked to stay in a sister Riad owned by the same people, but as Tripadvisor hadn't notified them of our arrival there. We were moved with minimum fuss to Dar Limoun on the second day (good job I printed off my booking confirmation to bring with me)! This oversight was in no way a fault of the owners and in the end we were glad we had been moved because we had a wonderful experience at this Riad. From the outset, we received a very friendly welcome and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The Riad felt very safe, and very well manned night and day. Our room was cleaned daily and the breakfasts were lovely consisting of fruit salad, bread and a selection of jams, pancakes and traditional Moroccan cake, fresh fruit juice, the most delicious yogurt and a full jug of coffee. The Riad had a 'informal' feel to it, which made you feel immediately comfortable. It was a five minute walk into the Medina, so the location couldn't have been better but it was so quiet and peaceful inside. A special mention has to go to Mohammad, one of the staff who was an absolute star!! Nothing was too much trouble for him. For our return trip home we had to leave the Riad at 5am. Mohammad had booked a taxi driver for us and was up to see us off with a breakfast laid out. He is worth his weight in gold as far as we were concerned! Beatrice (one of the manager/owners I think) was also superb. As it was my 50th birthday when we were there, Beatrice arranged for a cake to be made for me, which we shared with some of the other people staying. She then recommended a restaurant close by and escorted us there herself. I have to say however that the restaurant meals we had did not compare in any way to the evening meals cooked at the Riad and available to order for a fraction of the price and far better! The food is cooked on the premises and all home made. This place is exactly what we were looking for and more. If you want friendly, safe, good location, good food at a reasonable price - this is the place for you.

We stayed two nights and found the staff to be very friendly. Mint tea and sweetmeats on arrival were a special touch. The bedroom was spotless and there was lots of hot water. Breakfasts were imaginative and appetising comprising bread, jams, pancakes, cake and fresh fruits. Mohammed who had just joined the Riad was excellent in helping us enjoy our time in Marrakesh. One minor thing for him - we would have appreciated he with our bags on the last day when the at I arrived! Other than that a great stay at reasonable price. (We got a very good deal booking with dial a flight who we booked our flights with)

Wonderful place! I stayed with my friend in both the downstairs room and terrace room. Both rooms were beautiful. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. The breakfast is abundant and delicious. The walk from La Place Jemaa el Fna is easy to memorise (!) and there is always someone on staff 24 hours. We had such a blast in Marrakech and it was enhanced by staying in this house. We came as part of some travelling we did throughout Morocco. We would definately stay there again as we reckon Marrakech would make a great weekend away. The location is perfect; it is a very easy (for a medina!) walk to the centre and back and because there is a car park (i.e. car access) very nearby, you can get a petit taxi/picked up. Shukran b'zef Dar Limoun!
