“Wonderfull”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

Riad Argan is an oasis of calm right in the heart of the medina. It is beautifully furhished with good sized rooms and ensuite bathrooms. Breakfast is taken on the roof top terrace where you can also sun bathe later in the day. It was nice to see that the breakfast was somewhat different every day so that you had something new to try. The service we recieved while staying at Riad Argan was so personal, like nothing we had ever experienced.
We can only highly recommend this Riad.
Françoise and her team make all the difference.

I love Marrakesh and Morocco, it's the first time I was so welcome in a Riad, the owners (Françoise & Bernard) were there offering us a nice tea with local cakes, giving us a lots of very interesting advises about the city, where to go and what to see.
You feel like visiting friends more than just rent a place.
If you have to choose between different Riads, don't any more that's the one and only..!!
Thanks again for treating us that well.

Room Tip: They are all very nice and they are exactly as they look on the pictures.

Riad Argan is in the perfect location for visiting Marrakech. It's within the medina walls but not too close to the main square that you feel it's too central. It's situated just off one of the main routes into the medina which is perfect as you get as much of the hustle and bustle as you want, it in a really peaceful location and the rooftop terrace is perfect for sitting down to breakfast, laying out in the sun or a late afternoon mint tea!

Francois and Bernard are the perfect hosts and I would recommend using their airport transfer service as we got out of the car just outside of the medina walls to a warm greeting from them and with someone to carry our bags to the road while we had a mini tour from Francois en-route to the riad. Once we'd arrived Francois offered to take us into the square and point out some key highlights such as the best food stalls to visit and she offered great tips on bargaining and what would be a fair price for all of the souvenirs you may want to pick up on your visit.

The rooms were great, each individually decorated but with a Moroccan theme, the rooms were comfortable (best few nights sleep I've had in a while) and also very clean.

The staff within the riad are also a credit to the efficiency and general pleasant atmosphere.

I would recommend the riad to couples, friends and families alike.

As a female traveller in a very different cultural environment I felt completely safe and this was in part due to Francois and her team and the location of the riad and also the advice they offered which was priceless!

If you want to try something a little different Francois can help organise a day trip to the Atlas Mountains which had its fair share of sales pitches along the way but it also offered great insight into mountain life and the beauty of morocco.

My wife and I just spent 3 perfect days at Riad Argan. The location is perfect-- a short stroll to the main square, the souks or the kasbah. Francoise, the owner could not possibly have been any more gracious or helpful... the riad itself is everything you'd want.. cosy, inviting with a well-decorated touch that makes it hard to leave ... fab breakfasts on the terrace... and be sure to have a romantic dinner there... the three sisters and Sufjan(sp?) on staff are great-- friendly and super nice...always looking to make your stay enjoyable ... all in all, I highly recommend Riad Argan!

Couldn't ask for more the Riad argan is simply Devine and well located for the square. The owners provide a service second to none and even located a chemist late in the day to go and fetch medicine I needed. Totally brilliant

We had the most amazing stay at the Riad Argan. Francoise and Bernard and their staff are outstanding. If you stay here you really MUST eat at least one meal there - we were in Marrakech for 4 days and ate a meal there three times - the food was exquisite. The rooms were immaculately clean. There was limited space around the bed - but that wasn't a problem to us- if you are used to the large American hotel rooms it may surprise you though. The staff were very helpful, flexible and served unobtrusively. It was reassuring to have Francoise meet us in the near by car park ( with the pre arranged taxi transfer) . The location is excellent - about a 5 - 10 min walk to the main square and only 1 minutes walk to the nearest 'shops/traders.' The bed was comfortable and they had a safe with a key - so we could safely leave our passports and money in the rooms. I would highly recommend this accommodation - If we return to Marrakech I will definitely book in here again.
