“Worst Possible Hotel EVER !!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

I stayed at this hotel with my family and was the worst hotel i have ever come across. It was dirty, unprofessional and very over priced compared to others. i reduced my stay from 7 days to 2 days and then moved to another hotel in marrakech on the same day called hotel atlassia which was the same price for each night and was 4* and included a great breakfast and an apartment.

The staff members were so unprofessional and on the website it states that they have a restaurant and all they have is an empty space and a small kitchen. My mother is diabetic and suffers from high blood pressure and felt very ill in the middle of the night in the reception and as we requested water as she fainted, they told us that we cant give you water but i can go and buy some and charged us 40 dirhams for a small bottle of water. Where is the humanity people ??? and as my father complained, the guy was so rude and started shouting causing distress to other visitors in the hotel. and this all happened at 3 am. VERY INCONSIDERATE and UNPROFESSIONAL ! its not even worth staying there if they pay you money instead !

Room Tip: GO TO ATLASSIA HOTEL which is about 50 second walk from hotel hasna and is 4* and same price.

The Hotel Hasna wouldn't be the first choice hotel for most holidaymakers visiting Marrakech as it's neither a riad hotel or part of a major chain. But for those not too bothered about where they stay other than it should be safe, affordable and reasonably convenient, the Hasna is worth considering. It's situated about five minutes' walk from the shops and cafes of "downtown" Marrakech and about 25 minutes' walk from Jemaa el Fna - "the big square". (By taxi, it's only about five minutes and it's very cheap: about 15 dirhams; not much more than UK£1.) The reception staff were not exactly what you would call welcoming and my room looked rather dated. They could definitely do with improving the lighting and making sure the heating/air conditioning works properly. But there was a tv, mini-fridge, safe and telephone and the shower fitting above the bath offered nice, hot water. Breakfast was pretty modest: just a croissant and a roll with butter and jam but it came with reasonably decent coffee and freshly-squeezed orange juice. It wouldn't take much to make this hotel really quite attractive but one gets the impression nobody can be bothered to make the effort. So I certainly wouldn't rush back. On the other hand, it provided a reasonably pleasant overnight stay.

Room Tip: Try and avoid a room at the front of the hotel which is situated alongside a busy road as it's q...

Lack of basic cleanliness is an obvious issue. A dingy lobby, a lackluster restaurant, and a terrible location (on a main road, many blocks from the old city) ... and this is a place I wouldn't recommend.

Others in our group thought it ranged from poor to adequate, but at least one individual cut his stay in Marrakech short so as not to have to stay there another night. No-one was enthused, though some were more accepting than others.

Stayed here on 2 nights, one at the start and one at the end of the trip. The rooms seem to vary in quality - the first came with multiple cockroaches, wet carpet (and horrible wet carpet smell), mouldy bathroom, broken sideboard and uncleaned toilet. They wouldn't change my room as I had checked the sheets were clean and therefore un-made the bed - though they did come and clean the toilet. Terrible.

The second room was cleaner and passable, but still far below what I would expect for the money. The swimming pool, by contrast, was very clean. Air con worked. Breakfast was very basic.

The location on a main road was pretty soulless, and a 20-ish minute walk to the square. Food options nearby were mainly western and touristy, with no local culture to absorb.

My opinion: pay just a little more and have a better, more authentic experience of this great city within the medina walls!

Stay here a few weeks ago - on the start/end of exodus trip to Toubkal. Hotel is very average - there is no point in complaining re the brekkie as this is what the moroccian breakfast looks like. Swimming pool was fine. The rooms and bathroom could be cleaner. Only 15 mins from the square.

Room Tip: from feedback the single rooms are poor quality

I got badly bitten by bed bugs at this hotel. I stayed one night before going to Mount Toubkal. When I returned and told them about the problem they claimed no-one else had mentioned about having any problems in that room, as if it was my fault. There was no concern, apology, nothing.

This place is used by exodus travel from UK. It must be the cheapest they could get?

The breakfast is ONE roll, ONE roll, ONE peice of butter, cup of tea & glass of juice. Not much really. But, it was fine, just not much.

I was unfortunate as I had to come down from the mountain early. So I witnessed non-weekend stuff.

The pool had no water in it, only on the weekend. No shade in the pool area, cig burns on two of the bed covers in the pool area.

Getting back one night - no water at all. Had to wait an hour.

After 4 nights no change of bed sheets. Cockroach on bedroom floor.

The aircon was so nosy I had to wear earplugs. In the end I gave it a good thump, made it less noisy.

Their is currently building work next door, but it was not an issue.

I moved on sat, paid twice the price and got 10 times better place!
