We found Riad Warda by chance after spending 2 nights at a place that charged double the €50 a night we paid here and what an oasis it turned out to be. Five minutes walk from Djemaa el Fna Square it couldn't be in a more perfect and peaceful location. Next to one of Marrakech's best restaurants, near a street with any number of banks, shops and eateries and two minutes to Hotel Tazi where, in a reasonably strict Muslim City, you can enjoy a cold beer on the roof bar or buy take-aways to enjoy a drink on the beautiful roof terrace at Riad Warda.
This Riad has only been open for six months and has been fitted out beautifully with authentic Moroccan furnishings. We selected one of the two rooms that open onto the roof terrace where we enjoyed a hearty breakfast served by Hicham (more of him later) before heading into the markets.
I really can't recommend Riad Warda highly enough. Excellent value for money, the rooms are kept spotlessly keen by the housekeeper and it's in a terrific location. Oh yes and there's Hicham the Hotel Manager. He couldn't have been more helpful in advising us on places to visit or where to eat. Unlike so many he's not on the take and he genuinely seems to enjoy making your stay in beautiful, mesmerising Marrakech safe and memorable.
I've attached few of our photos but go to www.riadwarda-marrakech.com and you'll see plenty more. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
