“Wonderful Riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

This was my second stay, I stayed for 4 nights.
As it is good location from Place jamma el funa, rooms are very clean and cute,
warm & kind people and very safe...they treat us just like family members.
Great Riad to stay!

We visited this lovely Riad on the 8th January 2014 for my 30th birthday. It was are second time in Marrakech. The airport transfer was great (last time we where left stranded by are Riad). The Riad is excellently located, all the staff are very nice, it is very clean, however, the rooms were very small and there is a strong smell of sewage when you shower.

We did not eat in the Riad but I must say it always smelt of home cooking that I do regret not trying. We would never use a hotel in Marrakech as you would lose so much of the magic of a Riad and this place had plenty of it, being well presented, very traditional Moroccan style, extremely homely, to the staff who were so friendly and really did make us feel at home. The roof terrace is a great place to drink and relax and enjoy the amazing views.

Christophe and the staff gave us such a warm welcome and Christophe took his time to make sure we enjoyed our stay, advising us on places to eat and visit - we did not receive this type of welcome on our first visit (at a different Riad) so this was especially appreciate, especially if it is your first visit to Marrakech - thank you Christophe.

Definitely recommend this Riad!! :-)

Christoph and André and their staff are very hospitable, the public rooms and bedrooms are tastefully decorated and clean. Rooftop with view over Jemaa-el-Fnaa. We really liked it and would highly recommended Riad Andalla.

If you are going to stay in the heart of old Marrakech then this Riad is a must. Let's be clear here, a Riad is not a five star hotel, it's a Moroccan guesthouse. The Riad Andalla is particularly special because of the two most wonderful hosts Christophe and André, they make you feel most welcome and are very informative, in fact as a very well travelled person I have never been so informed in my life. All the staff working here are extremely friendly and aim to please at every possibility. We were a little concerned at first because there are no locks on any of the doors but do not let that put you off, as we found out later this is very common in all Riads and everything is very safe. If I had to stay in a Riad again this one would definitely be top of my list.

Tips

1. If this is your first trip to Marrakech make sure the you arrange for the Riad to pick you up from the airport as it is impossible to find the first time.

2. Don't expect summer in January. Take a warm rain coat and good walking boots.

3. You will be a tourist so be savvy, you will become a target so question everything and trust no one. Listen to Christophe and André's advice.

We had a fantastic two nights at the Riad Andalla. It's a beautiful building, well decorated and clean, and were well looked after by Christophe. Our room was smallish but perfectly big enough for us and for the location. The roof terrace is amazing and there's nothing quite like having breakfast overlooking the square in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying in Riad Andalla! The location could not be better! seconds away from Jemaa el-Fnaa and a few minutes walking from all the sites.
The owners and stuff are so nice. They make you feel most welcome, and make sure you have the best time in Marrakesh, giving helpful advice and helping with any need. The rooms are very nice and clean, and the terrace is wonderful! We enjoyed sitting there for breakfast and after a long day in the city, relaxing there and looking at the best view - Jemaa el-Fnaa.
If I go back to Marrakesh I will definitely go to Riad Andalla again!

We were welcomed with open arms, when we arrived at Riad Andalla and felt instantly comfortable. The riad is very clean, the interior is beautiful and the breakfast at the roof top terrasse that comes with a freshly sqeezed orange juice is the perfect ritual to start your day. From there you can watch the famous Djemma el fna. At the first evening we had a three course menu at the riad, which was delicious and gives you a first glimpse into traditional Moroccan cuisine.
The hosts gave us many tipps regarding sights, cab prices, bargaining in the souks and nice restaurants in different parts of the city, which helped us to make our time in Marrakech unforgettable.
We would definitely recommend to stay at Riad Andalla!
