“Very good place and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

This hotel is down a littl street near the main square. Very helpful proprietor and staff. Quiet but the roof has a great view of all the action. Beautiful decor. Only suggestion would be to have bottled water in the room and have drinks served on the roof. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel!
Th hotel even accomodated my fiance's special dietary needs at breakfast!

I stayed here with my (retired) parents in a Suite for just 2 nights, and everything about the Riad was perfect especially at the price paid. The interior of the Riad and the rooms is beautiful and calming despite it being right next to Jemaa-el-Fna, with a rooftop terrace that directly overlooks it and is also well shaded. Breakfast was simple but fresh and delicious. The staff are absolutely fantastic, particularly the owner Christophe who really makes you feel like you are at a home away from home, he is courteous and goes out his way to help out and provide useful advice. I needed assistance with rearranging a hire car and he did this without any hesitation or fuss.

If arriving late at night (we were after midnight) I would recommend the transfer service, as though centrally located the Riad would be difficult to find for a first timer. It's down a few narrow lanes off a main lane that leads on to Jemaa-el-Fna square (50m), easy once you're there but the transfer service made it no stress.

Amazing riad. You can't beat the location. 2 mins from the Fna square (central square where all the action take place). Lovely hosts, Christophe and André are very easy going, helpful and discreet. Rooms are nicely decorated and comfy beds. Youssef the handyman is very friendly and helpful, as well as the cleaning ladies, Rashida and Hayat. Good breakfast. I will definitely come back !

Riad Andalla is fantastic!

It is gorgeous inside, absolutely beautiful and very Moroccan. Every floor is lovely and feels homely.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Our room was on the ground floor, and we slept so well (there was no noise from outside the room, even in the evenings). It was small but had everything you needed, we had a really enjoyable stay and I would definitely go back!

The Riad is in such a perfect location – it is less than 2 minutes away from the main square of Marrakech, yet perfectly quiet at night. All the best things to do in Marrakech are within 15 – 20 minutes walking distance. The Riad also felt very safe, and there is always a staff member in the Riad. The small streets around the Riad also felt very safe, and we are two quite small girls travelling alone.

The terrace where you eat breakfast is also beautifully furnished, and just far enough from the main square that it is not noisy (but you can still see it and take photos).

Christophe arranged for us to do a couple of days trips (to Essaouria on the coast and to the mountains), and he recommended some restaurants for us to visit (lovely food! And I didn’t get sick from them at all, they are safe places to eat). He also showed us on a map the best things to do in Morocco, which made our holiday easy and enjoyable – he definitely showed us the best things to do. He also made us bookings at the most lovely spa in Marrakech! He, Andre and the staff are all so friendly and helpful; it made the stay very easy. The service was excellent. Christophe (and everyone) are so friendly, helpful and easy to get on with.

Christophe also arranged our transportation to and from the airport, which was hassle free and had no problems.

This is brilliant value for a holiday in Marrakech! I would definitely go back and have recommended it to my parents.

Thank you !!!!

Room Tip: The ground floor room was small (cosy!) but it was lovely, we slept perfectly well and enjoyed our s...

We stayed at this Riad for the last two nights of our trip to Morocco. The hosts are extremely nice and caring. The location of the Riad facing the Jmaa El Fnaa is priceless. The rooms are clean, and the Riad has a home like feeling to it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to catch a birds eye view of the Jmaa El Fnaa from the amazing terrace.

On booking this riad, we received an email immediately from the proprietors, Andre and Christophe, who offered us transportation to and fro our entry point into Marrakesh. As we were on a tour of the country, we made our own way there; however when we arrived, we found the place being run by their friend, Sandrine. She was incredibly friendly, helpful and easily interchanged between English and French; I speak French but my partner does not. She arranged early entry into the room as we arrived at 8:30AM and had their staff serve up a breakfast immediately. Along with Younis, their night staff and general handyman, and the ladies who worked during the day servicing the rooms, we felt like part of a family and were treated accordingly. The riad is extremely secure in a city where crime is an issue, indeed, we left money and devices in our rooms without fear. The rooftop terrace provides a unique view over the main square and is a refuge of tranquility amongst the chaos of the medina.

Sandrine arranged an excellent excursion into the mountains and all her recommendations regarding places to go, things to do and restaurants to eat at, were spot on and should be followed! We would go back to Marrakech specifically just to stay here!

Stayed there for 5 nights and felt at home. Andre and Christophe are wonderful hosts, always ready to help you and get everything you need, bus tickets, train tickets, cabs, booking for restaurants. The place is cosy and comfy and having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the market place with the Atlas in the background is simply magical. Can't wait to go back there.
