I went to Marrakech in the last week of January & wanted to check out this place for it's centrality and because of the reviews & photos & description of the place I had researched before I left London. I had sent them an email but with no response. Oh my goodness, what can I say?? I found the place (with some very kind local help), BUT, the "manager" was what can only be described as, and I am sorry to say this, a proper a'hole.
He was dismissive to my queries & me generally, and plainly rude, with a sneer on his face, Unbelievable. He also flatly denied the information they boast about on their website; such as rooms having their own private bathrooms, single sex dorms etc, They had what looked like a "reception desk" in the foyer, with some lanky blondish guy behind it, who kept his head down, & did not think to pipe up once. Either he was vastly stupid or could not understand English. I am sure he detected my presence as I was only 2m away from him. When I left the "manager" stood at the door watching me walk down the alley with an evil sneer on his face. WTF??
Avoid. At all costs. We all want to feel safe and welcome when we travel. I would feel extremely trepidatious staying here. This place offers neither safety nor welcome. Ghastly. Take your Fatima protection hand if you go near!

A very good place to stay inside the Marrakech's Medina at a few meters from the main square, very quiet even if inside a crazy quarter like medina. Feel confident to book and go there! On the night it can be a little bit scary to reach the hotel door but it seems to be absolutely safe!

I had a single room and found it to be excellent value for £16. Mustafa was good host and the ladies who made the breakfast also did good job. I would recommend this riad hostel to others. Just remember to switch the electric heating on half an hour before you go to the room for the night, if you are there during the winter. Marrakech can get a bit chilly and old buildings need heating

I stayed here with two others in September. It was clean, quiet and the shared rooms were spacious with air conditioning. The only thing against it was it was a little too quiet and the bathroom was two floors down. Nice roof terrace and a free shisha every day. I would definitely stay here again.
