This is a great place to stay in Marrakech. The staff are all genuinely welcoming and helpful . Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed several nights and soon came to appreciate the tranquility after the hubbub.
We stayed in a junior suite which was always impeccably clean and well kept. Not really a suite, but a sizable room with a double bed and sofa, small table and chairs. The en suite bathroom was magnificent, but be warned it has no door. In practice this isn't a problem as long as you know if it's in use, and don't barge in unexpectedly. The air-conditioning worked well.
To find the Riad you head towards the El Badii Palace and take the little alleyway (Derb Toureg, look for it on Google maps) to the right just before the Bab Berrima gate. There's an empty plot directly opposite the Riad, which makes finding it easy.
Breakfast was copious - pastries, breads, coffee, juice, omelette.
The hotel will offer an efficient airport transfer for 15 euros, which is expensive compared to a local petit taxi, but well worth the money.
The roof of the riad has a jucuzzi, sun loungers and a shaded area, all with good views of nesting storks.
The riad is in a relatively quiet area, but a fifteen minute walk will take you to Jemaa El Fna square. There's a petit taxi rank close by for trips to the new town, but the opening negotiation on price for a journey was always three times was it should be - you need to barter the price down or - if your French is up to it - insist on use of the meter.
