“What a setting for a memorable meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

The owner of our riad, Dar Silsila, recommended this restaurant and reserved his special table for us. Wow! I have never eaten in a similar setting. They have three fixed price levels with a few options of dishes at each level. We all chose the least expense one which was more than ample and we had delicious selections. The setting though is what sets this establishment apart and makes it so special. They provide a guide both to and from the restaurant to help you find it though the narrow alleys. What an experience!

“lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Beautiful riad, well signposted on fairly main street, but then you will need to be very confident to find it yourself down the little alleys. However, very helpful (name-badged) doorman on main street is there to assist! Very good salad starter, average tagine, average dessert, tea and Morroccan petit fours. This for what initially looked to be a steepish 350MAD pp - however, the aperitif (alcoholic) and wine (house, but very drinkable) were included - much to our surprise - which made it good value for money (particularly when compared with some others). Just be careful at the end, when the over-optimistic waiter pours tea from high, as splashes will get you...

“Memorable, Old Marrakesh Charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Food great, service great but the environment is the reason to go especially if you are not staying nearby.

“A lovely experience for a first time visit to Marrakech”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Ksar is a good restaurant for anyone on a first visit to Marrakech. They serve all the Moroccan classic dishes to a good standard in lovely surroundings. It is an especially good choice if you are not staying in a riad as it is an opportunity to experience life in a Moroccan courtyard. The building itself is stunning. On arrival you will be offered the chance to have a wander around the upper floors and take photo. When you go back downstairs you can wash your hands in rosewater and will be seated. The food arrives in truly vast amounts. We have enormous appetites but the "medium" option was too much even for us to finish. So you may want to consider choosing the "petite" dinner then sample each other's dishes. Or just splurge! If you fear finding the restaurant yourself in the streets of the medina, you can arrange for a dramatic gentleman to meet you at the nearest gate into the old town. He will also lead you back out when it's time to leave.

“Has Lost None Of Its Charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

A real treat. We first ate here ten years ago. A decade later it has lost none of its charm. The petit menu was more than enough. The sevice is simply first class.
