The apartment we stayed in had a fresh coat of paint, but the kitchen was dated and the whole family used just one of the showers as one was small and not so nice. The gym and spa were closed all week, which was disappointing and I would not have booked if we had been told that. The apartment had a private garden area which was perfect for relaxed outdoor breakfasts and a little quiet reading, along with the ant amy! As it was Ramadan, many shops / restaurants seemed to be closed, so the area was not as great as it could have been. The outdoor pool was nice, but no cosy seating as shown on pics, in fact the reception seating was covered up all week as well. For two days the main door was been redecorated so we had to use the side door via the bins. I guess once the work has been done it will be nice, I just wish we had been warned! Some days we walked the short distance to the Old town and Souks and used the Hamman around the corner which was lovely. We found the staff at the resort really friendly and helpful, but no information was given out, no leaflets or maps or information sheets.... Overall I would not go back, but it's fine for a base.
Other tips: Day trip to www.faimdepices.com was fantastic. Local supermarket across the road and go right to end of block very useful. Jardin Marorelle two minutes walk makes a nice few hours.
