“Excellent alternative for Marrakech”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

Just returned from an 8 day/7 night stay with my wife and daughter. Can not fault anything about the hotel, it's ideally situated between Marrakech and the Atlas mountains offering you the city life when you want if whilst being out in the country for the peace & quiet.
I can imagine that people struggled to find it, simply ask the owner to e-mail you the directions (which are in English & French), keep them with you and show them to the taxi driver if required. With the directions it's easy to find & you can not miss it (we had our own car).
We ate at the hotel every night, usually a choice of 2 or 3 starters/mains/desserts. Costs around 15 GBP for the 3 course meal. Food was excellent, home cooked, nothing too fancy but simple tasty homecooked food (which is what we wanted at the end of the warm day).
Pool is excellent, we were lucky that we did not have too many other guests. Properties well maintained, clean and more than adequate. A/C is the main room but despite tempratures of 43 C outside / the houses were cool without the A/C. Main house for breakfast/meals is nice & relaxing with wonderful views. Excellent gardens / beautifully maintained.
Staff exceptionally friendly, although they don't speak perfect English - you can get by with a little French. Very trustworthy and will do anything for you (adjust menus, etc).
They offer a daily return trip to Marrakech / organised tours / etc. Can not recommend it highly enough.

Stayed for a week with my wife. We agreed we had the most relaxing holiday ever. Situated in an agricultural area and surrounded by lots of small family run farms Quaryati is off the beaten track and very quiet. Donkeys, sheep and cats roam into the gardens. A backdrop of the Atlas Mountains (recommend a trip) and rose gardens. The pool is large with plenty of sun beds. The staff are always helpful and v friendly (being Morocco, English is not their first language but we did not have any problems) All the other guests were v friendly. The food is great, not a huge menu but we enjoyed every meal and the cooking lesson was fun as the local lady chef didn't stop laughing! Breakfast was great. The owner, Francoise, made us all feel at home. The whole resort is single story with rooms as individual "villas" all built in local traditional materials and v comfortable. We took the daily free taxi to Marrakesh - one day there was enough for us but an experience (be wary of local lads who ask to show you around - you can v easily get ripped off - be prepared). We walked and cycled round the local farm tracks and lanes (great bird life - Stocks, Shrikes, Warblers, Bulbul etc) and to the local village Souk (recommend it) - we felt safe and always welcome - everyone says "bonjour"
We have no hesitation in recommending Quaryati Ecolodge

Could not recommend this place enough. An amazing stay. Françoise(the owner) was an amazing host and we were greeted by the beautiful rose gardens and a lovely peacocks. The accommodation was basic but clean and functional, decorated in traditional traditional Moroccan style The food could not have been better. There is a limited menu however it is traditional Moroccan fayre and is home made by the staff who reside on the premises. It's delicious.
As mentioned before, on TripAdvisor, you do need basic French to speak with the waiters. However, they are always happy to help and will find what you need without too many problems. The pool is a little cold but beautiful. We found it to be empty of people and it was a lovely serene backdrop to our holiday. Marrakesh is about 30 minutes away you will be given an old taxi to get there but this is all part of the charm of Morocco. It is easy to hire a 4x4 or a car to go around atlas mountains. We found this to be an excellent day out. Françoise will recommend you many restaurants along the way and there are also women's cooperatives selling argan oil which are well worth a visit. Ecolodge, itself, is an absolutely amazing place with peacocks, donkeys, sheep, cats and dogs roaming free. It was just an exquisite place to be and you could completely escape in normal city life. We easily made friends with other visitors It was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Local beer and wine is available and delicious but you are very limited in what you can order. This is not a holiday for getting drunk and living it large. But I would highly recommend it to get away from normal life and a relaxing break. Go!

Recently returned from Quaryati, having enjoyed everyday. We did a nice mix of relaxing by the pool, enjoying the food (which is excellent), and day trips out to the mountains and into the city. It was a great break, and I would recommend to it to anyone.

Visited Quaryati for 2 days - lovely quiet location between Marrakech and Atlas mountains - stunning views. Beautiful rose gardens and poolside. Relaxing and quiet atmosphere but well linked to Marrakech with a daily free transfer. Problems with Air Con meant we were put in a superior suite with no hassle.

Would recommend for a quiet stay in Marrakech. Will go back.

Room Tip: Some of the more expensive rooms have a terrace and you can climb on top of the house and get a grea...

A very nice weekend escape for those living in Marrakech - spacious rooms, beautiful territory, delicious food (and I really mean it). A bit hard to find, make sure that you arrive before the sun goes down. However, it is also a part of the charm. Beautiful peacocks walking around (a bit annoying during breakfast outside though, trying to steal your food:)), rose gardens, property is very children friendly (could be pros and cons, but...). All in all, I was glad I accidentally found Quaryati on the internet (not much publicity, the owner does not want it to become too crowded), will recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Go for the suite, they have a nice terrace and kitchenette
