“back to old Marrakech”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Third visit to Marrakech and second visit to the Riad Kniza. Lovely old riad in the medina not too far from the souks and the main square. delicious breakfast, one of the best restaurants in the city and all the mint tea you can drink. very spacious rooms and bathrooms. dependable pick-up at the airport. a classic!

“An experience to build a relationship or marrige on”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Heartbursting. An experience to build a relationship or marrige on. I'm the fussiest person in the world (person of hight standards in a nicer way to describe me), the charming, cheap but dull main square restaurants didn't impress me too much. On the second day of our vacation my boyfriend took me to Kniza - which was LUCIKLY - very difficult to find hiding in a badly lit and muddy allyway. Upon arrival we were told that the restaurant is fully booked but we can have a look at the patio (Moroccan for face control - this place is not for the average twatted package holiday maker) after a quick chit chat the owner showed up and walked us into the restaurant which - needless to say - was nearly empty. Think 7th heaven marble palace, museum quali furniture, staues - a bit like that Cary Grant Grace Kelly movie. Our waiter was as nice, intelligent and charming as one can wish - proud, confident, charming, professional just the way I like it - rose petals all over our table.... and the food good God... 6 courses of fine fine moroccan specialities (just one or 2 options to choose from no frozen food everything fresh from the market) appetiser: some feather light pastry with liver and almond (sounds odd but is actually very very tasty) tagine (lamb as soft as a cake) and cant't remember the rest (we went to this riad in January taha). Thanks for the experience, defo will come back here.

“Perfect pre-wedding dinner....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

There could not be a more perfect venue than Riad Kniza for any occasion. Ours happened to be the introduction of the bride's Moroccan and French family to the groom's American family. The evening began with refreshments on the roof-top terrace with views of the entire city of Marrakech, downstairs the dining room seated our party easily and felt like a beautiful private home. The food was Moroccan at its very best - beautifully presented, amazing flavors - and the service was extraordinary. It's difficult to find enough superlatives to adequately describe our evening. At evening's end some of us were confused as to how to return to our own riads in different areas of the medina - the Riad Kniza owner had his personal driver take us from Bab Doukkala to Bab Ksour. That courtesy and concern for our comfort exemplifies Riad Kniza's approach to serving their clientele. Cannot wait to return to Marrakech just to stay at Riad Kniza and enjoy more of their wonderful hospitality.

“Exquisite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Go hungry as the food is lovely and it would be a shame to leave a morsel.
All the staff made us feel welcome.
Our waiter was informative about the food. He was attentive but not intrusive.
The Morrocan red was fine ( there is no list, a choice of colour is offered)
We came away feeling VERY full , still tasting the flavours and talking about the ambience

“Morocco at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

My Tunisian and I visited Kniza Riad after reading a few reviews on TA. We both haf a fabulous evening. If you happen to be in Marrakech do not give this place a miss. Food was excellent, service was fabulous, not too intrusive. We where made to feel very special and welcome. This is true moroccan dining at its best. The Riad is owned and run by a Moroccan family. Their charming son spoke perfect English and was kind enough to give us a tour of the Riad even thought we where not staying guests. We shall return and next time not just for dinner but to stay over too. After all a place that's been visited by President Regan and Brad Pit can't be all that bad ;) Thank you for a membrobal evening.
