“Well worth finding.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

This place is a gem hidden away behind the new Printemps store. We didn't eat there, just tea, but they do serve alcohol. Take in any old books and buy others. Most are English, a rare commodity in Marrakesh. Sit, read, relax and enjoy. Brilliant!

“Cafe du Livre - not just for the bookish”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

I have lived in Marrakech for past 5 years and in early years often used to drop into Cafe du Livre to enjoy it's peaceful library area, free wi-fi and a coffee. Sadly, it seemed to go into a decline under the new ownership about 2 years ago - it seemed neglected, the book and magazine collection uncared for, the room was just smoky, dark and noisy. However - I am pleased to say I was back there today after a long absence and with a new manager in place, the windows wide open and the room nicely ventilated it was a very pleasant place to meet other ex-pats in a convivial atmosphere. Please take care of your customers who are NON-SMOKERS!! Menu is reasonable, though not exceptional and still the decor could do with brightening up! If visiting Marrakech - do drop in for a browse through the library and try the chocolate cake.

“Great food, Cosy place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Lovely little book & cafe place. Step off the busy street & into the quietness of this place. Very relaxing for lunch & friendly staff. The home made burger is a must with fresh home made chips! A must if you're in the area.

“Cool, friendly cafe with the best quiz ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

This is a really cool wee cafe which is hidden away in the new town. The staff are very friendly, the food is good and well priced and there's an awesome quiz in English every Monday night which is open to everyone. It's a great hang out spot with free wifi and a mini library where you can purchase books for some holiday reading. Definitely worth a visit.

“friendly bar meets book shop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012 via mobile

Friendly place to come and relax.they only serve flag beer on draft , which if you can put up with the cigarette smoke, the free WiFi makes this a great place to relax, research and meet people. Hard to find so just head for the hotel toulousain, enter the courtyard and you'll see it on your left. Enjoy!
