I just cannot emphasize enough how fascinating and thrilling my experience was at this Riad! The property is hidden in the heart of the old Medina, which made my experience full of Moroccan flavors. The staff were very welcoming and really did all what they could do to make me feel home.

Bottom line, this is where I am going to stay when I visit Marrakech next time.

We stayed at the Riad Lorsya for two nights in April 2015. It's a quiet gem in a bustling part of the Medina. The place is charming, and the staff was extremely attentive to all our needs. The location was perfect, very close to the Jamaa el Fna. We felt very safe, as this Riad partners with several nearby Riads to hire watchmen in their area.

We stayed in the Sheherazade room, which was perfect for 3 people, and enjoyed the complimentary tea on the roof every evening. It was so easy to return to the riad for midday stops because of the convenient location.

We called before we arrived, and Aziz was already waiting to carry our luggage and show us the way to the Riad. We especially want to thank Abdul and Aziz for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable!

If you're heading for Marrakech, and prefer a smaller, boutique hotel over the larger chains, look no further. Located more or less in the centre of the Medina, 5-8 minutes walk from the main square, Riad Lorsya is a true oasis. On arrival at the Riad, after walking through the hustle and bustle of the Medina, our first impression was that of serenity, almost deafening silence. The staff were more than welcoming; and made us a lovely Tagine for our evening arrival; the following morning we were given some orientation as to how to get around and navigate the maze of alleyways!

The Riad itself is lovely, and is all you can expect from a 4* establishment. It's location is great; an easy walk to any point in the Medina.

We'd highly recommend asking the Riad to arrange Airport Transfers; reasonably priced and it takes the guess work out of where the Riad is (you'd have little chance otherwise!).

We would not however recommend going there next April (2016); we are planning a return trip and would like it to ourselves :-)

Beautiful, romantic rooms in a traditional Morroccan setting. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. Very quiet yet central location but hard to find in the center of the old town (Medinah). expect a 10 minute walk from the nearest car parking space / taxi drop off point. Call the hotel when you arrive in Marrakech to send someone to show you the way and carry your luggage.

I stayed there with my boyfriend for 5 days at Riad Lorsya and we found it very lovely.
On the first night, we arrived quite late ( nearly midnight), we had a hotel staff, Asiz, waiting to escort us to the hotel.

Once we got to explore around the city, we found that it was in the nice spot of the labyrinth. (my tip is try to remember the main signs of the shop you walked past so you won't get lost but after walking for two days, your instinct will start to pick up the directions you should go...Google Maps won't help much so your brain and eyes are the best map you could use )

After arrived, my boyfriend was hungry so he asked the hotel to organized some sandwiches. Despite the late night, Asiz managed to find us a very nice kebab.

The next day, we did the Berber tour with the hotel and Izmad, our driver was very nice. He explained some details when we visited the Berber's house and attentive to us.

Breakfast here is nice and the great thing is you can have it anytime! They provided variety of bread, jam and butter with super nice Morrocan mint tea. ( You can request to have tea any time of the day)

We also got the complimentary dinner and it was delicious.

Abdul is very attentive. He always made sure that we had a pleasant stay. He recommended us some attractions and of course, a nice place for Hammam. The hotel also provided the map and explained it as much as they could.

Every staff here was very helpful and knowledgeable.

In term of room, our room was Marjana and it was very nice - on the top floor with the sun terrace. We really liked the decorations and the bed was comfortable. The atmosphere was very cozy and it felt like home.

The only two disadvantage would be the Wi- Fi signal was quite week and the water flow in our room was a bit slow but it was nothing compared to the service we had received during our stay there.

If we go back, we will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: For family, try to check the Mamounia room on the ground floor, from the outer look, it seems quite...

3rd proper riad of 4 during a 3 week Moroccan trip.

Booking took a few days as we pinged a couple of emails to and fro. And they only had availability for 2 of the 3 nights we required so they suggested they could book us in to another nearby riad for the last night (Riad El Zohar - amazing place!) Really not easy to find (even for someone who's been to Marrakesh before) as it's in a proper backstreet but in a superb location and I'm sure they'd have had someone meet us if we'd asked.

Gorgeous room, unfortunately no real air flow in to it though as the centre courtyard of the riad has a clear plastic covering and the only other windows opened into a lightwell shared with the room next door and was only open to the outside via another small window higher up so the room felt a little stuffy and overly warm. Can't now remember if there was AC available. Great terrace upstairs.

Although the staff were very helpful there was a slight feeling of being churned through the system. Yet another great breakfast.

We stayed there on our last trip to Marrakech and it was brilliant. Starting with the pickup - they had a bellman come down and meet us at taxi drop off place. Rooms were amazingly decorated - they look like taken out of fairy tale - super charming. Service was excellent - everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They even arranged complimentary welcome dinner for us. Breakfast was really good - served in the courtyard downstairs or on request they could bring it up on the roof terrace, so you can soak up the sunshine. They also printed our boarding passes and arranged reasonably priced airport transfer. This riad definitely deserves a Certificate of Excellence!

Room Tip: first floor rooms are best
