“Fantastic place and very friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

The rooms are beautifully decorated in traditional style. The riad is just outside the medina and a 15 minute walk to the main square. You'll wake to freshly baked delights and go to sleep with the lovely aroma of home cooked Moroccan foods. The staff are helpful, accommodating and have no issues with dealing with allergies (I'm coeliac and they were great!) I particularly enjoyed my evening in the kitchen where the cook showed me how to make a traditional tagine!! Would thoroughly recommend a stay here...

Great position!
Great 'petit dejeuner'!
Great Bernard!
Great Jamal!
Great mint tea!
And...always smiling!!
What about the hammam?! Fabolous!!!
Five stars!
We stay there for three days and every day was perfect. Clean room, nice person, mint tea at every hour, breakfast always different and rich. Staying at the terrace at the dusk was simply magic! It was better than homer! We tried the hammam inside. Gommage, hot water and massage. Cool!

We booked with Bernard and the package offered including transfers, a meal with wine and days guide in the Atlas Mountains was excellent value. Bernard was away but Jamal the Manager couldn't of been more helpful. All the staff at the Riad are excellent and the service is 100%. The Riad is peaceful and so relaxing. Breakfast is delicious and the meal cooked for us when we arrived was the best we had - would recommend especially if your arriving later in the day. Ours was a very short trip only 3 nights but we really packed it in - picked up first morning at 9am for quadbiking and camel ride with Marocexpo which was fantastic with lunch in a Berber village, returned at 6.30. Jamal booked for us to go to La Comptua a popular restaurant in the new city (which is such a contrast to the Madina) very rich area, scared we were going to have to pay a great big bill but infact the food is average price and good. The main reason to go there is for the belly dance show and musicians which came on at 10.30 - try and sit upstairs to get the best experience. Next day picked up 9am for the days treking with Sadir in the the Atlas Mountains, arranged by Bernard - what an amazing time. You walk approximately 18km firstly to Sadir's house for refreshments, then up into various landscapes and lovely views. We stopped off for lunch at his friends place up high - again lovely food. Then onto another relatives village where we watched his friend down a hole in the floor making taguines (he makes 80 per day by hand). If you want to really see Berber life you must do this trip - good footware required and fair fitness level. We finished off with a quick look at the Madina - this was not for me but I know shopping is a big draw in Marrakech and many enjoy the thrill of the hussle and bustle. You are treated like VIP's at this Riad and as friends also. Thank you so much to the lady who did my Hammam in the Riad too - I really enjoyed it even though I was very quiet - in shock a bit! All round a fantastic experience and wonderful people. Thank you Jamal and your friend (sorry can't remember his name but so cute) and the lovely cook!

Room Tip: Our room had no separation between the bedroom and the toilet in case that bothers you - probably no...

What a wonderful experience Marrakech was, made perfect by our home away from home . The Riad Menzeh was exactly the beautiful traditional Moroccan accommodation we were looking for . From behind an innocuous door in a side street we were taken aback at the wonderful surroundings and the very welcoming and friendly staff who looked after us . The famous Bernard wasn't there but I have to say he wasn't missed . Jamal and Yassin were the most accommodating , helpful and genuinely lovely people you could hope to meet . We found ourselves by the end of our trip calling them friends and can't thank them enough !!!! The Breakfasts were fantastic and you must try a traditional Hamman .

if you are in Marrakech , please visit the Riad Menzeh and you won't be disappointed !

Very welcoming and helpful mangers who helped us to book restaurang and also escorted us to the place the very first evening - otherwise we would have been completely lost. Since the riad was fully booked the managers helped us to find another riad for the rest of our journey. Absolutely no complaints.

Bernard and Jamal really know how to run a riad! They were always there for our questions and discussions about Marrakech and our experiences during the days. We felt like coming home when we stepped through the door in the evenings after exploring Marrakech.
They also arranged a fantastic meal, including fresh oysters, in the riad for us on New Years Eve. You have to try their food if you come here!

Room Tip: We had the room "on the roof". It was almost like having you own house up there. We recomm...

My parents and us stayed in Riad Menzeh for four nights while visiting Marrakech's Medina.the owner and host, Bernard, welcomed us to his beautiful house making our whole stay unforgettable. Not only he helped us arranging other aspects of out trip but all his recommendations (restaurants and activity) were fantastic. Our two rooms were exquisitly decorated, Clean and comfortable. Bernard's two assistants (one of them called Jamal) were very friendly, helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and abundant and we had train the house every night after a long day in the medina next to the fire enjoying conversations. We also did the tout to the Berber village that Jamal arranged and we had great fun. I recommend this hotel to anyone that ones to feel at home in a different country. best decision I made in my trip to Marrakech

Room Tip: I think all rooms are great. Let Bernard recommend the best one for you
