“Not dissappointed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

We have just returned from a four night stay at the Riad and can only highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Medina. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
It is within easy reach of Jamaa el Fna and other sites.
We had arranged a pick up from the airport and the taxi dropped us off to have our cases transfered to the Riad by cart. We were welcomed in with a pot of mint tea before being shown our room which was situated on the ground floor. The room was a good size and well maintained. I would say however that I am not sure if we would have wanted this room in the high season due to its proximity to the plunge pool and haman. It also opens out onto the breakfast room which caused much laughter among other guests as we made our "grand entrance" each morning.
Breakfast offered a good selection of pastries and bread and freshly squeezed orange juice.
I also had a cookery class which was fantastic and vey enjoyable learning about the use of spices and the combinations . We visited the market to buy the ingredients but be aware that if you opt for chicken it is alive and then despatched. The amount you make under the excellent guidance of the cusinere is more than enough for two .
I also had a haman and massage which was excellent. On our day of departure we were offered a room to change in and tea whilewe were waiting for our cart and taxi.
There are excellent eateries close by apart from the Riad itself, Dar es Salem and Jnane Mogador both in the alley on the way to the suare and Le Tanjiaa just across the road from La Place des Artisans (near the taxi rank).
A good way to see old and new is by using the hop on hop off bus which you can pick up by Club Med at the bottom of the square.
Thank you to all at the Riad for a wonderful stay.

This Riad was highly recommended and everything everyone said was true. The rooms are spacious and very well maintained. The breakfast was more than adequate and freshly prepared. The staff were always there, ready to be of service. I would definitely return.

Hidden in winding alley (like most of the streets in the Medina) the Riad Diana is a very good Riad in a prime location pretty much at the centre of the main sights that Marrakech has to offer. It;s easily located from the Jamaa el Fna which is ideal after a long day of getting lost in the souks to the north of the square.
We stayed in the room located on the roof terrace, and I was very happy when i saw the room and the snow capped Atlas Mountains in the distance. The views from up there were fantastic, and as was watching the sunset whilst sipping some local mint tea.
The staff were friendly, attentive and always available. Breakfast was good.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone planning on a trip to Marrakech.

We stayed at the Riad Diana over New Year, and enjoyed a pleasant stay. Good location near to the main square, helpful staff, reasonable breakfast and comfortable room all add up to a decent hotel and one I'm happy to recommend to other visitors to Marrakech.

Marrakech felt very alien and intimidating at first but all the staff made us feel very welcome and at ease very quickly. It really did feel as though "our home is your home" as we were told. There was always someone to ask or to help with any question or concern we had. The hotel itself is perfectly positioned to explore the extraordinary market and Souk areas and the roof top area is a fabulous sun trap with great views to the mountains. Well deserved excellent ratings.

We stayed at the Riad Diana this weekend. There were 7 of us in all (all girls) and we all had a thoroughly chilled out break. We were all slightly apprehensive as we were led on foot through the dark a narrow alleyways of the Medina by our porter and taken to a small wooden door in a very large wall. But what a treat when you get inside. A small Riad hotel, the Diana has only a handful of rooms. The rooms are all clean and stylish with very comfy beds. The staff really couldn't do enough for us. They organised a cooking lesson for us all on the first afternoon which included a trip to the souk to source all of our ingredients (including the two live chickens - not for long!), fruit and vegetables and spices, a couple of hours cooking and a long time eating afterwards. They also organised a hamman for all of us (in the total) followed by a massage. It is a long time since I have been quite so clean!!

The staff really couldn't do enough for us. I would wholeheartedly recommend.

A comfortable riad with a great location in the Medina only five minutes from Marrakech's main square Jmaa el Fna. Pleasant rooms, friendly staff and peace and quiet away from the bustle of the Souks. Great views of the Atlas mountains from the spacious roof terrace.
