We stayed here with four other friends. It was a couples trip. We loved Dar Al Hamra and the location. We were able to walk to jemaa el fna. Taxis were cheap and made it easy to get out of the medina and into the more modern parts of Marrakesh like Gueliz and the casino. The girls loved all the modern shopping. Lots of great souk shopping located nearby in the Medina too. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel was very quite at night. The morning prayers did not bother us. We felt that it added to the charm of the city and the hotel. You kind of miss it after you leave. Breakfast was great on the terrace but we never really ate at the hotel. There are so many great places to go eat and mingle with the locals. Go to a local coffee shop instead and people watch! It's fun and you will meet some very nice locals! We absolutely loved Marrakesh and we plan to return next year. Our stay was so pleasant and such a great value we will only stay at Dar Al Hamra!
