“Boutique Hotel in Marrakech”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2009

My husband and I found this hotel to be similar to an US boutique hotel. It was modern/urban design with moroccan touches. Upon arrival the front desk did not receive our last minute reservation (made the night before online), but accommodated us to our request of a higher floor (the hotel only has 5-6 floors). As a result, we had a bigger room and also had breakfast included for the same price we booked the original reservation online. The breakfast was a continental breakfast buffet with plenty of choices. What we liked the most were the morrocan crepes...The room was very comfortable and also included a safe. The bed and linens were very similar to high end US hotels, very clean and comfortable. The only issues we can really note is that one of the windows facing the balcony (which was a common balcony for many rooms on that floor) did not close properly. We had asked for someone to fix it, and it never happened in the 2 days we were there. Same with a little window in the bathroom. Other than that the stay and atmosphere at this hotel was very nice. We enjoyed it and would absolutely go back. Location wise, this hotel is at a walking distance from Gueliz restaurants and attractions. We even walked to and back Jemaa El Fna place. It is located within a semi residential area.

It is very nice hotel. On arrival we got free upgrade to suite.Room was clean and spacious. The service was absolutely ok.The hotel is about 20 min walk from the main square(which we didn't like). There is a free jaccuzi and hamman for all guest. We really enjoyed relaxing spa after all day walking. The only bad point was the dinner on our first night. The chicken wasn't cooked properly so even we stayed on half board basis we deciced to eat our dinner outside the hotel on the other day.

This is a lovely, contemporary and convenient hotel in a pocket between the old and new towns. I booked a standard room for a night’s stay in Marrakech. Room was clean, modern, comfortable, had dedicated air conditioning, wall-mounted large flat-screen TV with numerous international stations available, two beds were together so not a single massive bed but was still more than adequate. My friend had a similar room with one massive bed rather than two singles so might be worth asking if you’re bothered by this.

The room was adequate in size, plenty of wardrobe space, equipped with electronic safe deposit box and had a lot of natural light courtesy of the large sliding doors leading to a spacious terrace/balcony. Bathroom was clean and new, with the shower over a bath, fully functional, and complimentary shower products.

There is an elevator in the building providing access to all floors. Well-equipped gym facilities and spa facilities in the lower ground floor. Thoroughly recommend the traditional (black soap) bath/scrub from the Hammam, but there’s a Jacuzzi as well for the less-adventurous. The spa seems popular so make sure you book the bath as soon as you arrive to avoid disappointment, especially if you are on a short stay.

I did not use the bar or restaurant but they looked as stylish as the rest of the hotel and adequate. There was a terminal on ground floor for free internet access and also free wi-fi is available on all floors.
One room was still being completed on the floor I stayed in but one wouldn’t have realised work was going on, it was quiet. There is an outdoor swimming pool with ample deck chairs, but cannot comment since I didn’t use this particular facility.

Breakfast was standard continental fare with cold cuts, cakes, breakfast pancake, pastries, cereals, coffee, tea selection, fruit juices, hot scrambled egg but no real bread to go with it.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the medina, 15 minutes to the Djemaa el Fna and ensures not living in the chaos but having easy access to it. There’s a convenience store a couple of doors away and ATM points nearby too with access to numerous other shops in the area. I was allowed to park my car on the street (right in front of the hotel), which was a bonus because the 24 hour security guard was right there at the front.

Hotel staff were very helpful, courteous and informative; this warmth and good vibe was certainly a highlight of the stay. Check in/out was painless.
The stay was so enjoyable that i extended for another night. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable room but average/poor breakfast and unhelpful reception. Well located between old and new towns with good hamman/health club but roof terrace was filthy and a great disapointment.
Don't book taxis or tours through the hotel as they can be found cheaper and of higher quality elsewhere.

We booked the Dellarosa Apart Hotel via www.hotels.com based on trip advisor reviews, 5 days for 4 special offer and its location in the new town of Guilez.

We booked 2 standard rooms which were compact but excellently presented, clean and of contemporary design. The price included breakfast which was OK but lacked variety after a few days. It was a continental style cold breakfast with lots of breads, cakes, cereals, fruits, jam’s etc. They did have hot scrambled eggs but no toast or baked beans!!

The hotel has a good sized roof terrace with cushioned but dusty sun loungers. Great for sunbathing once you have cleaned them off! Given it was 30 odd degrees, the terrace was great for relaxing during the day. There was also a pool but due to its location on the ground floor, inbetween buildings, it was in the shade all day and not heated (FREEZING). The pool would have been better placed on the rooftop rather than the ground floor. Tip for those looking to sunbath round a pool, we walked just up the road to Hotel Le Marrakech where we were able to walk through reception and sit round their pool without question.

Rather than facing the notorious Moroccan taxi drivers at the airport we decided to book an airport pickup. The hotel offered us a price of 250 Dirhams, however we found it cheaper, paying 200 Dirhams for 4 people in a spacious air conditioned people carrier using www.morocco-tailormade.com.
The hotel was well located, a few minutes walk to Avenue Muhammed V where the walls of the Medina start, then a further 10-15 minutes to the town Square Djemaa el Fna. Nightlife (the little we found) was within walking distance of the hotel. We found alcohol prices in bars very expensive for UK standards (£6 - £10 per pint) so purchased beers from a local off licence and drank on the roof terrace before going out.

My buddy and I were first time visitors to Marrakech from the US. We were only in Marrakech 2 nights. The hotel was in a good neighborhood and within a short walking distance to the modern city shops and restaurants. The staff spoke excellent English and were very accommodating. I had trouble cashing a US travellers check, but the hotel staff handled the transaction with ease. The room was comfortable and as pictured on the web site. The hotel is ultra modern and quiet. The beds seemed a little small. Great location, excellent attentive staff and a good room for the money. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Pros: Super modern, trendy, fun. HIGH speed internet (complimentary), decent breakfast, pool, Hammam, lounge, very modern and trendy.

Cons: About a 5-10min walk to the heart of town. This can be a pro or a con (not as loud and crazy as the medina, but also a little of a walk). I prefer to be outside the medina at night.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. TOP VALUE. TOP HOTEL.
