Went on 3rd oct - 10th oct 2013 with my 5year old son, was a bit sceptical about going with it being just the two of us but I need not of worried.
The customs at airport opened more kiosks only for people with small children, which helped loads as it was a late flight.
At the hotel, waiters took us straight into restaurant for food and took our bags to our rooms while we ate. The reception staff were fantastic, also the security who showed us to our room.
Rooms were kept spotlessly clean all week, with towels and bed linen having different designs everyday.
Bar staff and waiting staff were absolutely fantastic, they all made my son and his little friend very welcome even making him his own (non alcoholic) cocktail. The Italian restaurant was lovely, there is the Moroccan but we didn't enjoy it as the food was too sweet, its all down to the taste buds of the individual nothing wrong with restaurants. My sons friend celebrated his 3rd birthday there and the hotel made him a birthday cake and the staff came over to sing to him, brilliant.x
The grounds were very well maintained, there is a little herb garden, lime trees and olives growing. There is several ponds which had koi, terrapins and ducks. The hotel had its own cats of all ages and it was a great to know they were all well looked after with regular inoculations. My son was taking meat out to feed them until we knew they were well fed already by the hotel.
My son loved partying with his little friend until the very end every night with the animation team. If your prepared to get involved then you will have so much fun. They were all fantastic and very hard working. There is a children's area with a club and pool, my son only played in the pool twice, he preferred to stay in the main pool, and wow what a pool, a little chilly when first getting in but awesome. There is a indoor pool and a gym area too. We had no problems with getting a sun lounger at the pool, the only thing I could suggest is if you have a favourite spot then get up early and put a towel down.
This whole holiday exceeded my expectations except for my first trip to the market, was a bit too much for me and wish I went in a group, but I did go again with another couple and it was a much better experience.
We done the camel ride and this is the part where I will have a little moan, is that the camels have rope as head collars and you can see where the rope has already cut into their nose and there is open wounds on parts of the nose where the rope is still cutting in. I did tell the rep who just said they cannot check the camels everyday. I did state that as a reputable company they should be making regular checks as the wounds were old and new on every camel, except for the cutie baby camel.
Other than this we had a awesome holiday, all the other holiday makers were fantastic, they made us feel so comfortable as they were all so friendly. I would definitely book again, would love the same holiday makers to be there, If any of you read this THANKYOU ALL for making our holiday special. Donna and Maddison.xxxx
