“Brilliant! Our most relaxing holiday ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, the place is spotless, the facilities are top notch and the staff are some the most friendly, helpful people I've ever met! If you are doing what I did before I went and reading every single trip advisor review on the hotel don't bother, just go ahead and book it! You will not be disappointed.

As for the earlier comment about fellow holiday makers looking like the cast of shameless/fraggle rock, I think they need to be reminded that this website is for reviewing the hotel and not fellow guests, if you're not willing to be tolerant of other people on holiday, tattooed or not, then here's a tip, don't book a hotel as there WILL be other people there!

I did not see any drunken behaviour around the pool or on the night, everyone was very well behaved and made an effort to dress up at night which I thought was lovely.

A tip for those who go to the show put on by the animation team in the evening, yes it's not the west end, but if you're going to sit in your seat all night and not bother getting involved then yes, it's going to be boring. My sister and I were up on stage the first night dancing with the animation team to Gangnam style and we had a brilliant time! In my opinion you get out as much as you put in, so if you're going to sit there looking bored all night and come back and slate the entertainment on trip advisor then don't bother going to watch it as you spoil it for the rest of guests trying to have a good time!

The animation team was brilliant especially Zambla, MJ and Mimi. I highly recommend doing the aqua aerobics in the day time, you will laugh so much! Even my husband did it on the last day!

The food was brilliant and I highly recommend the Moroccan restaurant. The wine is also lovely and they do a good gin and tonic too!

We did a day trip into the souks on the free bus and I didn't really like it, bit too stressful for me, especially the roads! But I would say definately do it just to explore the real Marrakech!

Already looking to plan a trip back next year!

We arrived here at around midnight to a welcome drink and the main restaurant was kept open for us. Check in was quick and easy with the cases brought to the room for us. Rooms very spacious with a morrocan theme, which were cleaned daily. Food of a reasonable standard with plenty of choice, however the Italian restaurant was a little disappointing, with same menu as the main restaurant. The morrocan themed restaurant was very good, small and a bit more intimate. The pool and surrounding bar areas etc very well kept. The only niggle is trying to get a sunbed as the best spots usually taken by 8.30am. This wasn't a problem really for us as we tended to go for a spot nearer to the restaraunt and bar which were not taken. The pool was great and refreshing during 31 degree heat. Got the chance to play tennis (no nadal) most mornings and the courts are fantastic. The animation team always had something going on, although I was being a little lazy we did play football one day with a good bunch of lads, and really enjoyed it. We also took advantage of the Thomson spa offer which was £50 for a Turkish bath, body scrub and a full body massage. It was really relaxing and the masseuse was very good. The drinks are good with plenty variety, although sometimes the cocktails can differ a little in taste. There is a help yourself soft drinks machine around the pool as well so you don't even need to go to the pool bar. Trips into the medina are a must, and the booking of the shuttle bus is pretty simple. Drops you off right outside the main square. Some great food around the market and the riads are a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the souks.

Overall- We would definatley return here, it was a very relaxing week. The crowd of people holidaying there also seemed quite friendly although we pretty much kept to ourselves. The staff in all departments were exceptional.

The downside about waiting months for a late summer break is that expectations are high, the upside is that when they are met you feel just great. I was lucky to have fantastic company on my trip to Marrakech and we both enjoyed this super hotel.

Loved the gardens around the hotel, they are so well kept. Fish in the ponds, turtles too. A pair of ducks and the hotel cats were all so sweet. Great climate, warm warm sun and beautiful sunsets.

Staff and service friendly everywhere. All inclusive a treat. High standards and great variety in the restaurant, smoked salmon and bubbly on Sunday morning was a real surprise! If you're with someone you love then you can pay at reception and get a bottle of champagne at the bar.

Tried the tennis courts and gym. Sampled the entertainments, they all added to the experience.

Ventured out into town on the shuttle bus a couple of times. V Easy. Also took the history tour. Always came back to the super size pool tho'. Whole holiday was special from start to finish.

Have just returned from this hotel and can't praise it enough. The hotel and gardens are kept immaculate, the rooms cleaned to a high standard every day, although the beds are are too firm! All of the staff are friendly, even without a tip. The drinks are branded and the wine very pleasant. Food in main restraint was good with a wide selection at both lunch and dinner, bacon was served once at breakfast ( a big surprise in a Muslim country). Entertainment staff ok not at all pushy. Pool great but cold . Hotel about 15mins from centre and souks, and hotel provides free coach service. We found all guests friendly, well dressed certainly no drunken Brits abroad here, so unsure about previous reviews. Had great holiday will be return it and would recommend to anyone wanting a lovely hotel in a great location, near to an exotic city

Room Tip: Opt for pool view

We've never done an 'All Inclusive' holiday before, so I was slightly apprehensive about the whole experience. We were NOT disappointed at all, we are now all inclusive converts.
I wouldn't hesitate in going back to this hotel, in fact we didn't want our holiday to end.

Arrived late on the Thursday evening, but as mentioned in previous reviews, they welcome you with a drink and a light buffet, which was most welcome after a long wait in customs at the airport, be prepared to queue, it takes a while.

Rooms are spotless, large and air conditioning most welcome.
We had read previous reviews regarding the firmness of the beds, however we found them very comfortable, we did request extra pillows though and they were brought to our room that same evening by house keeping.

We travelled with our two daughters and our son in law, they had the room next door (adjoining rooms) this means that you have double doors into a small lobby with doors to each room with your own key card, not a particularly good idea if you have younger children, however the rooms are plenty big enough to share with one or two smaller children. We shared with our teenage daughter and that was fine. The sofa opens into a large bed (king size) this is already made up and stays in that position during your whole stay.

House keeping was brilliant, beds made and bathroom cleaned every day to a very high standard. We left 20 Dirhams every other day, which we put next to the beautiful towel displays she left for us each day.

The food was of excellent quality and varied enough not to get bored. We enjoyed the Moroccan restaurant although be prepared for most dishes to be rather sweet, but despite this we really enjoyed the atmosphere.
The Italian restaurant has had bad reviews, but it really isn't that bad, just rather plain in comparison with the other restaurants, perhaps this may be good place to eat if you suffer from a dodgy tummy whilst you are there. We suffered, so it's a good idea to take some medication with you. Think this was more our fault though, as when you are faced with such a varied amount of different food types you tend to sit down at your table with a plate full of food that you would never normally put together...quite amusing at times.
The wine was fine, I preferred the red, whereas my daughters liked all three.

Pool area is spotless and yes there is a slight problem if you are creatures of habit and like to sit in the same place each day, if that's you, then be prepared to get up early to put your towels on your bed (these are given to you in reception and you can change them daily).

Thomson reps were lovely, Stacey in particular was very entertaining. Do go to the welcome meeting, it's very informative, especially if you are planning to visit the souks and medina. Absolutely no hard sell on excursions, loads available such as Atlas Mountains 4x4, quad biking, cooking lessons. The hotel offer a free shuttle bus into the old town so you can visit the souks, you can book it at reception. The journey to and from the hotel is an experience in itself, you see the real Marrakech!
Please take care crossing roads, there seems to be no right of way and you need eyes in the back of your head, try and find traffic lights to cross. If you try to cross on a crossing there is no guarantee that the cars, mother bikes, taxis, buses or even bikes will stop...it's an experience.

The animation team were absolute stars, they made our holiday. Especially Zambla, he was so entertaining, great personality and he made everyone feel special. He is an amazing dancer, his Michael Jackson routine was brilliant.
Also, I must mention Sara, she arrived a couple of days before we left, she was so friendly and sweet, she taught us some belly dancing around the pool, I'm sure she will be a real asset to the animation team. Some people have written negative reviews on the evening entertainment, however we strongly disagree, they work so hard during the day keeping everyone entertained and the evening shows are very amusing.

We travelled 3rd-10th October, however after reading a rather personal and negative review about the British clientele at roughly the same time as our stay, I wonder if we were actually at the same hotel?!?!!?
We found everyone large or small, tattooed or plain to be a lovely bunch of human beings, enjoying a fabulous holiday in a country full of beautiful and friendly people.

We plan to go back to this hotel as soon as possible, and would definitely recommend it.
All the staff are so friendly and helpful, miss them already.

This is our third visit in a row and we cannot praise the hotel and staff enough. One of the most impressive things is that the majority of the staff are the same and we were made to feel like their long lost family! A wonderful feeling. The rooms are large and clean, as is the rest of the hotel. The food is amazing and such a large variety that food is seldom repeated. As cat lovers, it is so lovely to see how well looked after they are i.e. immunised, fed and watered, but they don't bother you if you don't like them. The staff never hint they would like a tip, but they work so exceptionally hard and such long hours, always with a genuine smile on their face, that they deserve it. The animation team were fabulous again and they also work so hard all day and then put on a great show at night. We can highly recommend joining in the aqua aerobics - such a laugh! Once again many thanks to "ALL" staff members for our great holiday, hopefully we will be back in 2014. The only downside to our holiday was having to leave.
