“Relaxing Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Absolutely fantastic grounds, they are immaculate, lots of water features, Rooms were very spacious and well set in grounds. The staff were amazing, so helpful. Food in the main restaurant was very good, always plenty of choice, even smoked salmon and cava for Sunday breakfast. The 2 a la carte restaurants were excellent, especially the Moroccan. The only down side is that the bar tenders and reception staff seem to give preference to the French, we were pushed aside on several occasions. The First Choice reps, Richard and Rashid were the best ever, nothing was ever too much trouble for them and they were so friendly

Spent a week here over Christmas. Travelled with Thomson.
Got through customs without any hassle.Taxi pick up worked well.
Easy check-in. We had a first floor room in block 5. Very nice size room with large balcony which got the sun all day. Lovely view of the Atlas mountains. Near to the kids club and pool but not noisy. TV has some English channels, couple of film channels. Excellent shower.

Only used the main bar, which was never too busy, and not as smoky as expected.
Drinks a bit hit and miss (cocktails were dreadful, wine wasn’t bad).
Bar staff and waiters very friendly and helpful. Sparkling wine available at additional cost. Free wi-fi in the bar, worked well (so get's an extra star)
Food was pretty good for an all inclusive. Plenty of variety, but Moroccan choices lacked spice.
Moroccan and Italian speciality restaurants ok, worth a try once.

Great indoor pool, never got too busy. Gym well equipped, busy first thing in the morning, but empty the rest of the time.
Didn’t go in the outdoor pool, plenty of sunbeds to choose from.

The downside for me was the location of the hotel, virtually nothing nearby. There is the shuttle bus which runs into the centre of Marrakesh, but would prefer to have somewhere to go within walking distance. The souks were a huge disappointment for me, really just a tourist trap. Didn’t have any problems though, the fake guides were easily avoided.

Had a trip booked to the mountains but had to return home early so didn’t get to go.

All in all, not a bad choice if you just want to hang around the pool, otherwise I’d suggest you’re better choosing a hotel nearer to the centre

I have just returned (Jan '13) from a long weekend stay at this hotel and can't fault the trip at all. I was travelling for a friend's 40th birthday and although I felt the hotel may well be a lot bigger than I'd normally choose and I've had questionable standard All Inclusives before that had put me off trying again, the incredible price swung it for us. The hotel certainly is big but managed to absorb a couple of coaches of people like a sponge and it felt quiet pretty much all the time. The rooms certainly are a little distance away from the reception but we felt that to be a bonus as it helped the grounds feel so spacious. The room itself was very large with a private balcony. It was too cold for the pool in January but warm enough for a bit of lounging by the pool and eating outside. The staff couldn't do enough for us - occasionally embarrassingly so and whilst the evening entertainment wasn't our cup of tea, it in no way impacted on us quietly sitting in the main building after dinner. This is a superbly run hotel as far as we were concerned. We didn't bother trying the Italian or Moroccan restaurants as we only had three nights but it came as a surprise that there are absolutely no extras to pay for except the spa treatments. We hadn't been sure how much money to take and spent £30 on a brilliant Thomson all-day Discover Marrakech trip that crammed lots in and again, was well worth the money. Other than that we bought a few odds & sods in the souks, a bookmark and postcard in the hotel's boutique and that was all.
Everyone we spoke to was very impressed and it summed it up when we said to one couple, 'it's great value for money,' paused and then said, 'to be fair, it's actually a great hotel regardless.' If you bear in mind that this is a big hotel (low level blocks though - no high rises whatsoever) and you'll probably be travelling in a large party and eating in a large restaurant (to my mind it's well designed and avoids being canteen-like) I'm sure nearly everyone would have a fantastic time. It's perhaps not the choice for the independent traveller (although there is a free shuttle bus throughout the day to the centre) and nor is it a 5 star hotel although I still think it deserves five stars for the experience, ambience, service and value.
I will definitely return with my husband to this hotel and would recommend it as both a hotel-based lazy escape or as a base for exploring. All in all we loved it and I was extremely surprised by the quality.

Spent the first week of January 2013 in this hotel with my partner - and then joined by post-grad son and his friend. Wonderful staff- nothing was too much trouble for them. Good size grounds. Very good size rooms, fantastically clean. Really lovely very big pool and although far too cold to swim in at this time of year, there was a good size indoor heated pool plus a well appointed gym. Large restaurant where the buffet was quite simple but lots of choice and never too busy. Enjoyable evening entertainment if you wanted it, but easy to get into town otherwise. We thoroughly recommend for a beautiful winter break!!!

We stayed here from 31st Dec for a week. 2 girls in early 30s. Absolutely loved it. The hotel is stunning and the waiters and staff cant do enough to help you. The food is varied and excellent in all 3 restaurants. The pool is amazing and stunning when the suns out and also lit up at night. We never attended the entertainment but the lobby bar was very chilled and spent most of our nights there. 2 nights we went into Marrakech Clubbing and it was amazing. The new town is very plush and the clubs were fantastic. We also went quad biking and visted the market. Very varied holiday. The sun shone all day and then at night it was really cold, thats the only downside. We were treated like royalty throughout our stay and met some amazing people. Cant wait to go back!!
