“The perfect budget retreat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Brilliant service from the staff - you can approach them with any request or enquiry and they'll do their best to cater to your needs or answer your questions. Delicious breakfasts which includes fresh baked goods, pancakes, yogurt, orange juice, bread and tea/coffee. Stayed in a room on the first floor - comfortable bed and lovely decor. Only gripes are that the air-conditioning can get really loud, wash basin didn't drain fast enough, room was a little dim and hot water doesn't seem available in the afternoons. But these are trite things and I had a wonderful stay at this Riad. Would definitely stay there again!

This simple yet modern riad is a tranquil setting to be in after a day of sightseeing in Marrakech. It is located in the medina, but is a 20 minute walk to Jamaa el Fna Square and a 5/10 to some of the souks. Common areas are cosy and all is immaculately clean. Music was often playing in the background but very softly. The room we stayed in was average sized and had interesting decoration details, in line with the common areas. The bathroom size was above average but the window did not open. The washbasin drain was clogged and the toilet seat was loose. Breakfast was quite good, with bread rolls, pancake-like and croissant-like patties, butter, cheese, jams, coffee and milk.

Inside the medina, we loved this riad that has kept its Moroccan style with a super modern touch. Bathrooms are great and beds are firm and good. The swimming pool in the patio and the terrace are great additions to the riad.

Second time here, didn't get round to writing a review the first time but this great Riad deserves better attention as it really is sublime. Although if it creeps up the list at Tripadvisor it may prove difficult to get a room...

Location is great, in the north of the Medina with a 15 minute walk to either the souks or the main square and a crafty short cut to the new town, so all bases are well covered.

The staff are a real highlight, nothing is too much and the service is very personal and utterly faultless. The cooking at the riad is particularly excellent although it is on request only for anything but breakfast.

The riad it self is very cool, very modern with some wonderful touches and at the contemporary end of the design spectrum with a great roof terrace, tiny plunge pool and a real attention to detail that is carried through into the top notch rooms themselves.

So while this incredible riad languishes in the mid-table of Tripadvisor ratings and deserves to be much, much higher but that just means those of us in the know can enjoy it, fuss-free.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor as could be noisy and the extra for the suite is not really worth it unless y...

A special, quiet place in the Medina, not too far from the souk. Very helpful and welcoming staff, spacious and comfortable rooms on the first floor, very well decorated. WiFi Internet, good breakfast and superb dinner upon request.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are quieter. Rooms on the ground floor are next to the breakfast tables.

I can't really fault Riad De Vinci after a delightful 7 days there with my wife. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were always on hand and always had a ready smile.

It was simply but elegantly finished with polished tadelakt renders, a courtyard with deep plunge pool, a very comfortable communal area and fine old wrought iron galleries, all beautifully lit at night. There's a roof garden with all the usual sunbeds, breakfast area etc to take the blissful sunshine. Room was comfortable, simple with very very good shower and very clean. Breakfast served at whatever time of day you chose to emerge!

I thought it was well located - about 3 minutes walk from the Ben Silame Mosque which is accessable to taxis and only ten minutes walk from the middle of town - will go back again and again

4 single females of a certain age, welcomed warmly, looked after brilliantly and enjoyed a fantastic 5 days. Excellent value, charming and helpful staff, beautifully furnished. Amazing value. Nothing was too much trouble. The kindness of ALL the staff was faultless. The rooftop terrace was bliss and well furnished. The attention to detail - candles on the stairs, Happy Birthday in petals on the bed, change in the breakfast to suit our tastes ... a really terrific find.

Room Tip: Maybe better to ask for a first floor room so as you are not disturbed by other guests on the ground...
