“Exceeded expectations”

We stayed in Al Fassia for 2 nights after spending a night in a riad in the Medina. Al Fassia was a 10 min taxi ride from the Medina which cost 35-40 dirhams depending on your negotiating skills but it should not be more than that. We decided to stay in 2 different places as we wanted to experience both the crazyness of the old town and also to have some relaxing time.
We had a great stay. Our room was large, super clean and done in a riad style but at the same time spacious and airy. We had complimentary mint tea and morrocan pastries by the pool on arrival and we also had our breakfast served by the pool when the weather permitted. It was quite chilly in the evenings so I really enjoyed reading my book by the fire place in the lounge room. We pretty much had the place to ourselves most of the time. This hotel was a peaceful retreat after the hustle and bustle of the Medina and the souks. A massive bonus was the renowned restaurant in the hotel where we had dinner both nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have left a separate review for that.
We wanted to use the hammam (375 MAD pp for 45 min) but they could not do it at a time suitable for us so we skipped that experience but I would assume that also would have been of a high standard based on the overall experience we had.
We did not use the pool as the weather was not great but the pool was clean and large enough. All in all I would highly recommend this place if you want to experience Marrakesh in style.

The hotel is new and classy. It was built in the old raid style. Rooms were elegant and large. Everything was first rate. But the staff was even better. They always went out of their way to make us comfortable. Sofia.at the front desk spoke perfect English and made this stay in Marrakesh memorable!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in September 2014. We were visiting Marrakech for a wedding and the bridge/groom had the entire property rented for family and friends. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, assisting with car reservations and various other needs. The room was huge and comfortable. There is a very nice (albeit small) pool and outdoor area where you can enjoy food and drinks. The restaurant attached to the hotel is fantastic -- we ate there our very first night and it was a delicious and authentic Moroccan meal. My review could be slightly skewed to the positive given I was staying there with close friends and for a wedding so the weekend itself was a blast, but I genuinely think the hotel is a great option for anyone visiting Marrakech.

We fell in love with Al Fassia the moment we entered the gates for the first time!

My wife and I got married in Marrakech last September and hosted guests from Ireland, England, Singapore, Mexico, etc. Although we live in NYC, my wife is Moroccan and it was important to us that we provided our guests with an authentic Moroccan experience. As part of the planning, we toured dozens of hotels and riads in the area, but Al Fassia was the obvious choice. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating - even as our guests sang and drank late into the night. We specifically wanted to thank Myra and Sofia who made us feel incredibly welcome and coordinated so many details (small and large) for our guests.

Since we were renting out the whole hotel, we saw many of the rooms and they were all wonderful in their own way. From the traditional tiling to the choice of fabrics, you could tell a lot of love and planning went into designing each space. The food, both around the pool and within the attached restaurant, was delicious.

Look no further, this is a fabulous place to stay.

Room Tip: Each and every room we saw was unique and lovely, but the suites are very spacious and wonderfully a...

This is my first five for a hotel and it's well deserved! This hotel was the destination for a surprise birthday trip and it was a wonderful choice. The staff were all really friendly right from the moment we first arrived and there were some really nice touches such as a present for my birthday and them singing happy birthday to me in the restaurant!

The room we stayed in was lovely - really spacious and clean with fresh fruit on the first day and a bottle of water in the fridge and the bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep.

Close by was the pool, which was generally quite quiet which made a nice change. Breakfast was served by the pool each morning and this was a tasty spread of cakes, toast, fruit and yoghurt which set you up well for the day.

The hotel is located outside the medina - we did walk there a couple of times, but it's a good distance and I'd probably suggest a cab if you don't fancy a trek. We liked this location as it was more relaxing than the mania within the medina but I can understand that some people would prefer to be closer. It also has a shopping centre with some places to eat within walking distance although the food in the hotel restaurant was really nice and well worth trying.

We stayed at this hotel mid October. We decided on the hotel for its excellent rating, large pool and the fact that it is outside the busy Medina. Although most people tend to visit Marrakech for only a few days, we decided to stay for a week because my wife was pregnant. This allowed us to visit the city at our own pace, spend some lazy days at the pool and also do some excursions outside of Marrakech. We went to Essaouira and Ait Ben Haddou. Both highly recommended if you have the time.
But let's get back to the hotel. As soon as you walk through the gates of this walled establishment and onto the hotel grounds, you enter an oasis of calm. The garden surrounding the hotel is filled with olive trees (they grow their own olives and serve in their restaurant!). Inside the hotel, there are two beautiful courtyards filled with palmtrees and other exotic plants. The hotel interior is beautifully decorated in traditional Morrocan style. The hotel staff is extremely welcoming and service oriented and tended to our every need. The hotel manager is a very friendly and energetic lady who seems genuinely interested in her customers. The room was beatiful and absolutely spotless. The rooms were checked and if needed, cleaned twice a day. The shower was a delight. Because the hotel is away from the medina it was very quiet at night, so we woke up well rested every morning. The pool has a good size, is extremely clean and probably the best looking of its size I have seen. Breakfast was served every morning by the poolside whilst enjoying the twittering birds. Fresh fruit, fresh juice with toast, pancakes and yoghurt. Very satisfying. It's a 10 minute taxi ride into to the medina. It's around 30Dh to Jemaa el Fna during the day and 50Dh in the evening, for the entire group, not per person! DO NOT EVER get in a taxi before negotiating to around these rates with the driver!
There is also a shopping centre within 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. I would not recommend eating at any of establishments there because they are utter crap, but there are some nice shops, a coffee bar and a supermarket.
What else is there to say? The hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations. If possible, we would give 6 stars!
