“Not that great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2014

After a crammed 4 hour journey in a hot, sweaty train we arrived at the hotel with high hopes of a relaxing five days. Wrong. We went in and the receptionists were quite friendly and approachable but that was the only high note of the trip. We had to go around the pool in order for us to get the lift to take us upstairs. The lift takes at least 5 minutes to arrive and as we were placed on the 4th floor it was required so we waited. Entering the room we got hit with musky smell which made us feel quite queazy, also the room was buzzing (no pun intended) with flies. My two daughters had to sleep on dirty sofas and my wife and I had an unmade bed, dirty floor and night stands on the bed. None of the sheets had been changed! The bathroom was very small and black mould was everywhere, the shower was smaller than the lift/elevator! The "kitchen" was unhygienic and the sofas were full of food crumbs from the previous family. We arrived at 6pm and the room wasn't made. My daughters were crying as they've never been made to stay in such conditions, we didn't even have
fresh towels. The pool was our only glimmer of hope but it was over crowded which is a health hazard as everyone was jumping on top of others heads! Lounge chairs had towels over them although the owners were our or sleeping. We slept overnight and moved hotels thankfully to a more sanitary and clean one. This hotel was a huge let down as I wanted to relax after a long year of work and for my daughters after doing exams. I would not recommend this to anyone.

We had a few problems with the hotel not giving us thge room we applied for online. Their cleaning service was poor. The manager of the cleaning service is not good and the manager (lady) sometimes gives you the wrong change and they are rude so BE AWARE!!!! On the other hand the other staff were really helpful and amazing so next time i would recommend returning to the hotel. The director of the hotel is really kind and could probably sort out all your dilemmas so when your in a problem speak to her.

Room Tip: Rooms on ground floor have good A/C with no noises.

the hotel is nice, however the people gave us a dirty room with dirty hotels. we had to ask to see 3 different rooms, which were all still dirty. especially the toilets. the people at the counter are rude, there not friendly or offer you help at all. there is only one nice person at the counter. the management at the hotel are extremely rude, they have no manners and they disrespect the customers. I wouldn't advise anyone to go to there hotel, as they will need treat you well. and it will allow your Moroccan experience to be ruined.

This hotel is a bit like the Moroccan equivalent of Fawlty Towers, except without the comedy aspect.

We arrived late in the evening to find ourselves put in a room which looked like it hadn't been cleaned since 1996. There were no towels, toilet roll, bath mat or kitchen equipment. Small kitchenette in room which was filthy, doors hanging off hinges, fridge smelt very dubious. I almost didn't want to put my bag on the floor as it was so dirty. I have stayed in many cheap hostels around the world but have never stayed in a room as dirty as this.

Service from staff was terrible. Disinterested, and whole place seemed disorganised.

Breakfast simple affair with cereals and breads. Nothing great but ok.

Pool area nice but filled with noisy children as we visited during Moroccan school holidays. All sunbeds reserved by around 8am so we had no chance of finding a space by the pool.

Luckily we only stayed here one night and then moved on to a beautiful Riad in the Medina (for the same price per night!).

My advice: avoid this hotel at all costs, and certainly do not visit with children- far too dirty. As for the hotel being 4 star- simply nowhere near. Think 2 star at the very most

Not worth a visit, hotel was a huge letdown - not a 4* at all.

Shower enclosure had big hole in it, sharp edges where it was broken.

Rooms are dark and dingy - we did not have any outdoor space, no balcony.

The only plus was that the room was big - average sized bedroom but large living area.

I don't usually write reviews but please take note, all the others writing poor reviews cannot be wrong - please save yourself the disappointment

We booked this apart hotel because we wanted a touch of luxury, boy were we mistaken. From our arrival we where greeted with the most ineffectual miserable receptionist that we have the misfortune to encounter. We were eventually given a filthy room which plainly had not been used in months, we could write our names in the dust, that is once we could move our feet from the sticky floor. Obviously we complained to the manager, who didn't really want to hear what we had to say, and fobbed us off with the housekeeping manager, who to her credit did appear immediately . and proceeded to show us other rooms which were in the process of being cleaned, so therefore not prepared for us to use straight away. We did get a room on the ground floor, that was lacking the basics such as towels, toilet rolls, basic crockery and cutlery light bulbs in some areas and oh yes there was a hole where the hotplate should have been. Most of these thing were rectified eventually. Our first night sleep was disrupted by a person in the apartment above ours with shouting, singing, clapping, swearing in arabic and english, banging, scrapping the furniture around the rooms. All of this did go on all night long. Again we complained to be told by the night reception person that there was nobody in authority to deal with the offending person above us. In the morning the same ineffectual manager tells us they we can change rooms again as they have tried to speak to the occupant of the above room, but they seem to be asleep now and were not answering their door, but we could still hear him. We suffered this for the four nights that we stayed there, although not as bad as the first night. We also did discover that none of our windows locked, so we asked if we could have use of a safe, to no great surprise none were available. So we had to keep all of our document and money on us all the time. There are so many more bad things that i could say, but it's getting boring now. One glimmer of hope there was one receptionist who was very pleasant and helpful she is the one member of staff that doesn't need to go on a customer service course, and she nows who she is. I finish by saying there is no way that this is a four star hotel, i personally wouldn't give it one star, especially since we did share our facilities with at least one cockroach!

Room Tip: The only thing I can say is choose any hotel other than this one.

This hotel was booked prior to travelling to Marrakech to secure accommodation over the Easter weekend as it was busy everywhere and certainly I felt were paid a premium for the hotel in which it greatly under-delivered. On arrival it was absolute chaos and the check-in despite being prepaid was the longest check in time ever. In fairness to the staff on front reception, they were being bombarded with guests arguing and making all sorts of demands about their rooms – however, these guest demands were most likely reasonable. This hotel is poorly maintained with a number of items in our room broken. Also, part of the hotel complex operates as private apartment accommodation. Whilst it is fenced off from the hotel pool, the adjacent area it is extremely noisy. In favour of the Hotel, it is a good walk from the train station and set back off the main road and the staff I encountered were pleasant and attempted to be helpful. Against the hotel is the poor level of maintenance, the noise levels, inability to cope with the number of guests at breakfast (running out of tables, cups and some food options) and a lack of restaurants or dining options in the area.
