“good place, nice people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

a good holiday, the entertainment team are great! We had an all inclusive vacation that was good for the price, £1100.00 for two. in late May. the room was very spacious and the reception team took care of all our problems, few as they where. By English standards it was only a 3/4 star hotel but I had few things to complain about , seeing as I was there to relax with my partner for a week and not expecting 5* treatment at the price. The food was constant and fair, lots of salad and fresh fruit, though the tajin's where not the most authentic. Great spacious rooms though I would agree with other reviews about being close to the pool for noise if you are planning to sleep before 11pm. The pool was too cold to swim in at the time we went but I am sure it would be good later in the season. My only complaint was the volume of the music, at the pool and on the patio and late in the evening it all got a bit confused and at times I was listening to three types of music at once. I agree with other reviews that there seemed to be a lack of management, but I think that's just North Africa with many managers and just as many members of staff, a love of importance rather than actual decision makers seemed present. I would return but not pay any more than I did for the experience. Loved my week away :)

Room Tip: Away from the pool if you want quiet

Having read various reviews of this hotel we went with a very open mind however we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very large and clean with good facilities. We travelled as a family of four and our room was huge with two comfortable beds, separate living area, a balcony and separate shower and bath in the bathroom free safe and free wifi. The other room had no balcony but a larger living area. We are well travelled and have to say that these rooms are up there with the best we have stayed in.

The all inclusive food was good, always varied and tasty. The drinks in the all inclusive restaurant were ok however on our first morning there was no hot water to make a cup of english tea, however this was rectified the very next day by asking Momo. The downside to the food and drinks were that only one bar and one restaurant were included which meant that the jazz bar and the pool, Italian and Moroccan restaurants were almost completely empty every night. We did try the Moroccan restaurant which was good but not great.

Our biggest downside to the hotel was the bar deau. The bar man there seemed to open when he felt like and only serve one alcoholic drink per person at one time in the evening which meant that each of us had to go to the bar to get our own drinks which seemed to us to be a bit of a pointless exercise.

The communal areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly. The pools were good, just a little cold but very refreshing in the heat.

Excursions..... We travelled with low cost holidays and had no rep and to be honest we were a little lost when we arrived. This is when we met Momo. Momo took us on a tour of the hotel, which was really useful and explained to us our all inclusive. He also gave us information on the trips which the hotel offered. We did two trips with him, both of which were excellent and good value. We felt he really understood what we English wanted from our trip, ie to visit marrakesh souks and medina without being hassled by the locals. He met us before the trip in the reception and arranged for us to have a free shuttle to the square and a paid for guide when we arrived and we were not hassled once and we got to visit a spices shop and a riad. We also booked the ouzoud waterfalls through Momo and he arranged a guide for us too. This was a brilliant trip, but be prepared for a long but enjoyable drive.

We cannot praise Momo enough, he made our Moroccan experience one we will never forget, he even taught us how to cook using a tagine and took us on a walk to a nearby Berber village. Both times we asked how much and he said it would cost "just a smile". The tagine cooking was something which was not advertised or done before but done solely on our request. It proved very popular and I hope that other travellers will get to experience this for themselves.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone going for a relaxing week in the sun, the hotel has areas which could be improved but our experience with Momo could not have been better. He worked so hard from very early hours to very late at night and was there everyday with his cheek and charm and always smiling. He even made a special effort to meet us before we left.

We hope to return to this hotel one day and would like to thank the staff at the hotel, especially Momo, for an enjoyable and relaxing break.

Having read all the reviews here we went with open minds, but as experienced All Inclusive travellers we were seriously let down by this hotel. The hotel itself is just beautiful, set in fabulous rose gardens, with views of Atlas Mountains, fabulous architecture and immaculately clean. First impressions were really good. We had 2 rooms, one of which was larger than the other, but both very similar, the larger room had 2 showers, and both rooms could comfortably sleep 4 people. The pools are great, and cleaned every morning. Entertainment staff do a great job within the limits they have, although the evening shows need a lot of work, quizzes and karaoke are not very creative, although we were there for only 3 days so its possible we just missed the shows. The big problem I observed, was the outside area is so large and the seating is spread out over this huge area so although the staff were trying their hardest, there was no atmosphere, and people were not involved.

The potential for this hotel is great but the All Inclusive option really really lets it down. The hotel itself may be 5 star but the All Inclusive option is 3 star at best.

Food: There are a number of restaurants in this hotel, however, unlike other hotels, the themed restaurants are not included and carry an extra charge if you decide to use them.
The food in the buffet is hit and miss, its varied, and quite tasty but most times it was cold.

Bars: Again a number of bars at the resort, however if you are All Inclusive you can only use the make shift pool bar which is a walk from the main pool, every other bar carries an extra charge. On our first evening, it was quite cold out so the entertainment staff held the quiz in the Jazz bar, the bar was full as a result however, you had to go out to the pool bar to get your drink and bring it in. Not once that evening did we see anyone buy a drink at Jazz bar. The drinks at the pool bar are not of great quality, and served in tiny plastic cups even the beer. They claim to have cocktails, but when I requested a Mojito, despite the image of Mojito appearing on the bar, I received a lemon flavoured drink from a dispenser without even any ice. The Pina colada from the dispenser is not too bad, but again no ice unless you request it. Also, when you ask for a cocktail, and receive a dispensed drink, you have to ask for the alcohol to be put in it, if not, you get a non alcoholic Mojito / Pina colada etc. They have a list of drinks that are included in the All Inclusive option, anything outside of this has an extra charge.

We would visit this hotel again but not use the All Inclusive option.

We were 5 friends staying for 2 weeks. The 2 rooms were very nice and big, including a huge terrasse looking down to the square/restaurant/swimmingpools and with view to the Atlas.
Food was very good quality (maroccan specialities and international) and big choice of dishes every day for lunch and dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by the "all inclusive" quality of food and drinks!!!
Staff very pleasant and helpful !!
Appreciated as well the entertainment team during the day at the pool and after dinner events.

Certainly a place to go back again!!!
