My friend & I have just returned from a 5-night stay at the Eden Andalou and found the hotel a pleasure to stay in with the rooms arranged in a series of riads. The accommodation was spacious & clean, with all staff encountered friendly and able to speak English to varying degrees (sometimes much better than our very limited ability to speak French)...
The hotel has 2 main pools which are completely free to use (including sun loungers & beach towels). The hotel has a separate spa building (including another pool & a jacuzzi), but use of the spa facilities are extra (refer to the hotel's website and/or the services directory in the hotel rooms, which includes a full price list for spa treatments).
As the hotel is approx. 4km from the centre of Marrakech, the hotel offers a free shuttle service, running 5 times a day. When we wanted to travel into the city outside of a scheduled shuttle run, the hotel arranged a taxi for us directly to the Jarden de Majorelle (definitely worth a visit).
There is an Excel Tours office in the hotel, with plenty of tours to choose from, all with pick-up and drop-off at the hotel. We booked 3 trips, with good service received.
The only surprise payment regarding the hotel that we had was the 35 Dirhams per person per day charge for staying at the hotel itself. This is not included in the booking charge made via your travel agent (something they should have mentioned!). Apart from that one slight negative, the rest of the stay in the hotel was great and highly recommended.

The Resorts was Beautiful. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Food was....fine. You are charged to leave the hotel...this is not Airport tax, charged to use the Jacuzzi which is part of the swimming pool.
Stay somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Marrakesh is too beautiful place to start at the Edend Andalou.

I went with 3 other friends on a Groupon UK deal and had an AMAZING time, but this is mainly because we were together and experiencing new things!!

Positives: First off, there's no denying that the resort itself is like a beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert. The architecture, colors, fabrics, fresh roses everwhere, etc. makes the resort an inviting place. The arrival itself was nice (the mint tea and towels were refreshing), our 2nd room was amazing as we had an Atlas/Pool view and there was plenty of room for 4 adults (and luckily the air con worked!), pools were cool and made for a refreshing dip, massages were relaxing, food was decent (not sure why some say it was bland or boring...we always ate well and weren't afraid to try new things!), the lady working in excursions was VERY helpful and nice (she let me print my rental car confirmation so I would have upon return to the UK), the shuttle was convenient (only had 1 incident where the driver left 2 of my friends along with some other guests because he allowed those with later tickets on an earlier bus...this was frustrating as they were coming back and were late for an excursion), secluded (yes, this is a positive! we were all looking for a rest and after being in the crowded markets for 2 days, it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle)

Negatives: Our Groupon deal specified that for £20/per person/per night you could add someone on to the deal. We were under the impression that this meant that this would include dinners and massages for the additional people. I emailed the resort with this question to clarify and was told that it did (perhaps I should've asked in French instead of English!). Upon arrival and check in, we were told that it only included breakfast. Fine, we would work around it amongst ourselves. As we have 6 vouchers for dinner and 6 (seemingly!) vouchers for massage, we would split things up. When we went to book the massages after getting settled into our 2nd room (the 1st room they showed us wasn't done being cleaned), the lady working in the spa was quite rude to us and told us that splitting the massages was impossible! In the end we only were scheduled in for 2 of our 3 massages and only 2 of us could use them both (i.e. since we had 4 appts and 4 girls, why couldn't we each go to an appt? This made no sense!!). Aside from this issue, the internet was INSANELY expensive as were drinks (to be expected though!). Some were very lacking in customer service. We spent the last night outside enjoying the air and the bar music (a few of us even sang with the singers and took over the show!) but ordered a shisha that never arrived!! We finally had to wave down the waitress and all they had left was mint flavored (we ordered peach) and had run out of charcoal. We also saw a difference in how we were being treated by the wait staff in the main restaurant. Since we split the vouchers for dinner, the last night we had to pay for dinner. We were treated like queens on that last night and our water glasses never went empty as our server refilled them for us. The other two nights we did this ourselves. It's these little things that the resort should work on to improve their image if it is going to continue to offer package deals.

On the whole, I would come back here but only if I was on another package. It is FAR too expensive to pay the full room rate for what you get. Ultimately, the staff should work on their customer service skills in order to please its European clientele (esp. those USED to being given top notch treatment) and improve it's overall image.

What really matters though is that all 4 of us left relaxed, bronzed, with several extra kilos of wares from the market in town, and (most importantly!!) memories to last a lifetime!!

With a groupon voucher I booked this hotel. It was worth the price I did pay but I did not have the feeling of having had any reduction. And for sure it’s not a 5 star level hotel. For activities like hamam or fitness you have to pay extra. The staff at the reception is like clerks. Totally not interested. For example; if you acquire information regarding the bus shuttle you get this, but first when you want to use this shuttle you get the information that you have to make a reservation for this shuttle at least 4 hours before departure (!) Positive is the large swimming pool and sufficient sun chairs for everybody and a very friendly staff in the (buffet)restaurant.
And a warning for the airport; beware of organized crime for special items in your suitcase. From my suitcase was (after check-in) a pc tablet (really hidden between the laundry) stolen. After returning home only the cover of the tablet was on top of the rest. On internet you can read more stories of people who discover after returning home that valuable thing s had been stolen from their suitcase.

im moroccan man but live in uk , really i would like to say that im so excited to make new visit to this exclent hotel , i like the services , the rooms and the pools its clean and hight quality when u stay 1 night in this hotel u will feel that u are in castle of andalous castles, i like too many things like the amazing moroccan foods and many nice thingd , i advice who want visit marrakch have to visit this hotel , im sure u all will enjoy it .

Having read more recent positive reviews we were hopeful. However, the first problem was when we were picked up, since we have young children, we had booked a private transfer for 24 Euros, however we were picked up with other people at a cost of 16 Euros and had to wait for all to arrive. In the event this did not matter too much. But, having then checked in, they asked us to sit down but forgot to give us the form which they wanted filling in... We only realized this after waiting 20 minutes - we were not offered tea or cool towells as we had read others had and were later told it was because they were too busy. Then.... having booked a poolside suite, we were taken with our suitcases to a standard suite (it had curtains hanging off the rail and broken lamp shades) and I had to persuade the front desk that we had agreed with them several days previously to upgrade to a pool side suite before they would move us to suite 120, however I was asked to show them a copy of this arrangement which was made and already agreed with Mr Faiçal El Moustaquim some days before. The lady on the front desk did not apologise, merely commenting that ‘some people are unlucky’…

We really don't complain easily but the list of niggles were as follows:

To be fair, the room was comfortable but the daily cleaning was very poor (it seemed that the floor & sinks were not cleaned during our stay). The bed had no duvet cover and two sheets were used instead.
There was no water provided in the room - also it would have been helpful to have had a stocked fridge which was empty. You are not allowed to take water (or food) in to the hotel - the bottled water & food was very expensive...
Only one towel was delivered to our room on the Wednesday, although we did not feel it necessary to request it, further towels were delivered at 11.30 p.m. waking both of us and our children.
The hotel is advertised for families, however restaurants do not open until 8 p.m. which is a bit too late for young children - furthermore they do not offer child portions anyway. They were, in fact, almost empty, possible also reflecting the prices. It seemed that most people took a cab into town (8 km & usually about £12 there & back but still much cheaper than eating in the hotel.
We didn't have the right adapter to charge our phone and had hoped for some help from the front desk, there were none available and were told that the hotel only had two, which had already been lent to other guests.
Service was very slow and our order was simply forgotten on three occasions. When we went to the usual place for crepes on the Wednesday, we were told that it had moved to by the large pool and when we went there, they insisted that it had not! (although it did so within several minutes).
For the first three days of our stay the sound level of the music round the swimming pool was excessive, I mean boom boom loud! (we were staying in order to relax) and although it appeared that a number of guests around the pool did not like the sound level, despite our request it was not turned down (however it would seem that they eventually got the message as the last four days of our stay the volume was much lower). We wondered whether they were just entertaining themeselves with it at I saw the pool attendenat shout for them to turn it up even further for one song!
Many of the staff were pleasant, however sometimes we felt that they were simply doing a job and occasionally we were made to feel a little unwelcome.
We used the courtesy transport into Marrakech but the minibus was baking hot with no air conditioning and no way of opening the windows at the back.
On check out we were given two pieces of paper showing what we still owed (over £1000), no staple or envelope - it would have been nice to have also been asked if we had a nice stay.

All in all not the most relaxing and we felt that it was simply being run just as a business rather than for the enjoyment and relaxation of the guests staying! I have never written a review before but since we are now looking at hotels as hospitality for our businesses we would suggest this one be avoided...

This hotel looks impressive on arrival but is definitely not 5 Star luxury, more like 3 Star average. To be fair we had a beautiful room and everything was clean and tidy. The main problem is a) the language barrier and b) the apathetic attitude. There are very few English speakers here, staff or holidaymakers. Everything here is very expensive, even a bottle of water will set you back £3!!!! The food was ok but uninteresting and it is self service!!!! which is not the level of luxury we expected.
We had our phone and cash stolen from the poolside and the hotel management couldn't give a damn! Getting an alcoholic drink seemed like a criminal offence and there was no night life whatsoever, the soleil bar never opened once and this was the height of the holiday season?! Internet access was very difficult and again super expensive. The free shuttlebus from the hotel has to be pre-booked, as do most things here, and does not run after 6.30 at night. Beware the taxes to pay on departure too!!!
