“A place of rest in a busy city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

We loved our stay here. We had a quiet, clean, charmingly furnished en-suite, but spent most of our time in the Riad resting out in the lovely seating area on the roof - listening to the neighbourhood sounds, enjoying the shade and hanging out.

Our hosts were lovely, although only one spoke English, and the breakfasts are excellent. The location was excellent, so close to the main square and lots of restaurants. We spent lots of time exploring the local streets and getting a feel for the neighbourhood. The taxi driver they arrange for can be a bit overpriced, so be careful.

We appreciated most was that as soon as you stepped through the Riad doors, you were out of the noise and dust and into tranquillity to recharge.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and it was very quiet

Entering this Riat is like walking through a magic door. Outside it is hectic, warm, and mopets are trying to "kill" you. Once entered through the old handcarved wooden door it is very quiet, cool, comfortabel. It is clean. Good breakfast. You Will receive The front door key and are free to come and go as you please. You can pull up right to The front door by car en are only a 5 min walk away from The big market square. The Staff is exceptional friendly and make a real effort to make you feel at home. If you have been a good guest you Will receive a genuine hug from Viviane ;)

I stayed at Riad Massiba for over two weeks with a couple friends. Our accommodations were quite pleasant-- our suite was clean and tidy, nicely decorated, and quiet. The riad itself was beautiful and serene, close to Jemaa El-Fna, and a wonderful place to relax. Breakfast was great too.

Vivienne, our hostess, was always very friendly and hospitable. Ahmed and Soumia were great also, and helped us with whatever we needed.

One thing I would add: a second key for each room would be nice, especially for couples/groups who aren't always together, but that is a relatively minor detail. All things considered, I really enjoyed staying at Riad Massiba, and I would definitely recommend it.

We had a great time in Riad Massiba last March. It's like an oasis of rest, when you enter the small door. Its very closely located to the old city centre. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. We really enjoyed the extended breakfast (fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, etc.) and they were also so nice to have special food for my boyfriend (who is allergic for gluten). We can also recommend the welcome dinner and they work together with a reliable taxidriver. The only feedback we have is that it can smell a bit like cat pee, but we would definitely recommend this Riad.

Be prepared to what expects you beyond the ordaniry entry door in the medica. welcome to an oasis of peace, a piece of heaven in busy medina. Vivienne and Ahmed will make you feel at home and staying with relatives. plus the decoration is sutle and so very tastefull. really enjoyable and almost customized experience. Very hospitable hosts, Convenient to the main square (Jamaa el Fna) and directly accessible by car/taxi. A particular feature was an immaculate breakfast on the delightful roof terrace. Full Marks! A peaceful haven in the madness of the Medina!

Room Tip: No Fitness Centre or Pool Hence the low rating!
