“Worth it, despite some lack of enthusiasm...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

This is perhaps the best overall show in the Morocco, although some of the performers won't crack a smile unless you tip them... The music is authentic, the food is good, the fantasia (horse show) is excellent (sit towards the center --go grab a good seat just after you eat a quick dessert); I wish the music performers were more enthusiastic, but its well worth it despite that.

“Hollywood meets Morocco”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

Simply dreadful. Kitch, bad food, poor service. I have been more than once at the insistence of friends and family who have avowed that they they would never go back. Not authentic and only offers a take on what the commercial owners think what tourists want.

“Entertaining, but long”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We went to Chez Ali last week. We were traveling with teenage girls and thought they would like it. It is a huge facility. When you walk in you are greeted by tradiational Moroccan dancers and music for each region of Morocco. There are several Berber tents set-up and each troop will perform while you are eating dinner. The dinner was just served with no menu or discussion if there were any special needs (3 out our 4 of our family are vegetarians). It would be a prolem if there is a serious food allergy. The wait staff we encountered did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate any issues with them. The portions are enormous, so go hungry. Honestly, after dinner we had enough. But... you are moved outside to watch the show. The show is very disjointed and could be a lot better with just a little tweaking. It is "all thing Moroccan", but without a thread to tie them together. There are men on horses shooting guns, a camel walking around the ring with no real purpose, a horse with carriage randomly giving people rides, a flying carpet, men on horses doing tricks and a belly dancer.

“Guess it's okay if you're in a tour group looking for some unpretentious entertainment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Average food, auto-pilot service, and a mediocre show. The place feels run-down as if it has know better days. Actually some of the live performances during diner were quite enjoyable. Everything was only so-so, but I guess it can be fun if you're in a tour group.
