I would stay at Riad Tawargit if only for the food. During the week we stayed there we sampled restaurants around town, and found nothing nearly as good as the meals we had here (we were on demi-pension, breakfast and one other meal at the Riad). That said, I’ll agree with all the other positive comments other reviewers have made. The location is ideal, in the heart of the Medina a few minutes’ walk to Jemaa el-Fna square and its souks at one end, and to the Bahia Palace and square in the other direction. Despite that, the place is a haven of peace and quiet; about the only outside sounds you hear are the muezzins’ call to prayer five times a day (a bit of a shocker until you get used to it) from the surrounding mosques. Neza is a superb manager, efficient and organized. Abdou as major domo is friendly, accommodating, and could not have been more helpful. No question as to where we’ll stay the next time we’re in Marrakech.
