“I cried when I left”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2011

RIad Dixneuf is such a beautiful Riad that I'm not surprised it has featured in numerous magazine shoots. We stayed there on honeymoon in October and just fell in love with the place. The beauty of the Riad is one thing but the helpfulness of the staff (Mohammed in particular), and the gorgeous breakfast really adds to the whole experience. We stayed in one of the suites (Menzah) which was furnished beautifully, remained cool even in the heat of the day and had the most devine body lotions, shampoo etc available for guests. The riad is in a great location for the square (there is a shortcut round the back alleys), the souks and if you want to venture outside the city walls you can walk for 2 mins and you'll find a taxi. It's in a good part of town where locals and tourists live happily side by side without being hassled. Thierry, the Riad manager should also get a mention for always being available to help with our questions and for sorting out our car hire. A lovely, kind man. We only ate dinner once at the Riad as we wanted to try as many places as possible. Dinner was delicious but it's the memory of the breakfast pancakes, fresh orange juice and yoghurt while sitting on the roof terrace overlooking Marrakech's rooftops that I'll remember for a long time to come. Book Riad Dixneuf - you won't regret it.

One can't help but relax upon entering this peaceful haven. Check-in entailed sipping mint tea by the pool while surrounded by beautiful bougainvillea and banana plants. The rooms were simply done but elegant. Breakfast included fresh squeezed orange juice and could be had on the rooftop terrace which overlooks the city. Dinner is highly recommended as the Riad serves tasty traditional Moroccan food. Staff members were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. By the end of our stay we felt like family. The location was ideal as it was minutes away from the souks and Jamma El Fna. This is the perfect Riad if you are seeking peaceful surroundings in a great location.

The best riad we have discovered! The service was exceptional, unfaultering and genuine. Location is truly very good. Dinner is simple, the food elsewhere may be better but i think the location and the service would be very difficult to beat! We loved our stay here.

We spent 5 nights at Dixneuf La Ksour and realy felt like home.

Perfect location, just a few steps away from the main place Jemaa el fna and the busy souks. Located in a very quiet area, the Riad is marvelous. We found a beautiful and clean room (Menzeh), enjoyed tasty breakfasts on the roof terrace with a nice view of Koutoubia.

The staff is very professionnal and friendly, just ask them what you need and they will make everything to make sure your stay is enjoyable.

We strongly recommend this Riad and will stay there again whitout hesitation when we return to Marrakech.

A stunning Riad in very busy Marrakech. Incredible service from the moment we confirmed our reservation until we left. A colleague and I stayed on in Marrakech for 2 days following a busy conference and Dixneuf La Ksour was the perfect place to unwind and relax.

As two women travelling on our own we felt safe and relaxed and were made very welcome. The location was perfect for easy access to the souks and to taxis. After eating in '5 star' restaurants during our conference I have to say the evening meal we had on the rooftop at Dixneuf La Ksour was by far the best meal we had in Morocco! And the breakfasts were equally as good.

Our rooms were beautifully decorated/presented and had every amenity available - they were very clean. Only comment here was that the beds were quite hard but the pillows were very soft. It was definately quiet and the air conditioning was excellent - two things that are really important when staying in the Medina.

I have definate plans to return to Marrakech with my husband and wouldnt consider staying anywhere else!

I was amazed and enthralled at what a wonderful oasis the Riad Dixneuf was, it was so peaceful and calming every time you returned to the staff's smiling and welcoming faces.
We arrived for our 4 night break at the end of July, it was hot but at least not humid. When Christian (the Manager) met us from our airport car and walked us to the Riad we were wondering having never travelled to Marrakech before whether the place we had booked on the internet would be as good as it sounded.
We were certainly not disappointed it was wonderful, from the gorgeously decorated and cool airconditioned rooms and suites to the fabulous pool surrounded by plants and comfy chairs, where we whiled away hours chatting to friends we had met and having a few beers and delicious red/ white chilled Moroccan wine. Christian and his staff, could not have been more attentive and considerate and friendly, always there to help with a smile. The chef at the Riad was brilliant and talented and we enjoyed so many homemade breakfasts/lunch and fabulous dinners, whether it was on the terrace or the intimate dinning room by the pool. The food was probably the best we ate in Marrakech and very reasonably priced.
The nearness to the main central square was ideal, certainly no more than a few minutes walk. We did find our way to the places of interest but I couldn't wait to return to our oasis in Marrakech, it was so peaceful. I would certainly recommend at stay at the Riad Dixneuf and will definitely return. Thankyou to Christian, Mohammed & Ishan and the girls.

Ever since we stayed at Riad Dixneuf, we have compared all our other hotel experiences against Dixneuf--is it as beautiful as Dixneuf? are the staff as good as those at Dixneuf? The answer is always no. Sure, some hotels have been fantastic. But Dixneuf is an opportunity to live in a work of art.

We stayed for 2 nights in Room Sabah and loved everything about it. The features that stand out about the room are the door and windows, which have hinged wooden panels that allow you to adjust the amount of light that enters the room, and the bathroom, which is located on a lower floor that can only be accessed by a staircase leading from the room.

The service was excellent--attentive, helpful, friendly but never intrusive. Weather permitting, breakfasts and dinners are served on the roof and even though there are several flights of stairs separating the roof from the kitchen on the ground floor, we never felt as if we had to wait very long for our food and drinks (Mohammad, your tirelessness did not go unnoticed). On our second day there, we had to send out a fax urgently and Christian was there to help us with this. The following day, we had a very late bus to catch out of Marrakech and Mohammad stayed up with us, talking to us about everything from Facebook to Agadir, before helping us catch a taxi to the bus station.

It takes under 5 minutes to walk to the Djemaa el Fna. As for the amenities--there wasn't anything we needed but didn't get.
