“A superb Riad in the heart of the Medina”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2011

Just back from a 4 night stay with my best friend over New Year and had a great time here. The Riad is in a very small side street in the Medina - about 10 minutes from the main square. The Riad organised a transfer from the airport which was excellent and a very easy way to find the Riad (there is nothing other than a door to find!). Once inside you will be met by a really pleasantly decorated central covered courtyard where you can have breakfast (or on the roof terrace - as we did, even in December!).

Our room was excellent, well appointed and a really large and very clean bathroom - all excellent.

The owners Sylvie and Stephane are really helpful hosts - not intrusive - but on hand in the morning at breakfast to help you if you need any advice on plans for your stay.

We had dinner one evening - which was excellent (New Year's Eve) and the breakfast (Moroccan) severed when you feel like getting up rather than at a set time - is excellent: lots of fresh breads and cakes, with local jams, excellent coffee and eggs if you'd like them.

Amine looks after guests for most of your stay (and lets you in the door - day and night!) is a super local moroccan guy with fantastic English and French language skills.

All in all - to behighly recommended. I hope we return.

“A nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2011

We stayed here for 5 nights over Christmas. The Riad is very nice... a real oasis of calm, very nicely decorated and a really nice room. The sofa area with TV and fireplace was very nice. The staff were very lovely, the breakfast was great, and the free airport transfer was really great!! The location is not in the center, but its not too far to walk anywhere, and we found some fantastic places to eat nearby (including one in a small street parallel to the riad).

“Fantastic - Best Service - Location - Standards - Friendly !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2010

Went for a four day break and the place was amazing. Centrally located and whilst practical in terms of being central and close to the attractions and medina, it was also very peaceful and quiet at nights.

The staffwere very friendly and breakfast was "when we wanted it" what more could you ask for ?

Rooms are all wonderful and all have a quaint and unique style - very tastful and well appointed. Beds of good quality as was the linen and towels etc.

Lovely terrace for either sunbathing ( which I did in December) and if you would like to have breakfast on.

In summary the owners Stephane and Sylvie are so friendly and helpful. You could not ask to meet a nicer couple - Nothing was too much trouble and I certainly had some enjoyable dialgue with Stephane who speaks perfect English !

Would thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay as convenient to all the attractions.

“A tranquil, comfortable and wonderful find in a busy city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2010

We arrived at an unmarked door in the Medina not knowing if we had found the right riad. As soon as the door opened and we entered we found a charming and tranquil oasis in the busy city. The owners were kind, hospitable and helpful and we enjoyed our 5 night stay very much.

“Nice place, good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2010

The riad is a very nice place to stay and the service is fine. The rooms are a mix of Moroccan influences and modern design and feel cosy and romantic. The air-conditioning is working well (no key-card or something required), but there is no TV. The owner Stephane is very friendly and always willing to help you with restaurant recommendations, excursions and transfers. The rooftop terrace is a nice place for breakfast, a drink or for a relaxing moment. There is a jacuzzi, but it is not very often used I guess (when we turned it on, there was an explosion of chloride and dirt). The hotel is very close to the Bahia Palace and a 10 – 15 min walk to the Djemaa El Fna square. To get to the hotel you have to walk for 2 – 4 min through some narrow and sometimes quite alleys. Although, Marrakech is a pretty safe city, it could feel a bit scary at night especially for female travellers, because some parts of the alley are not well lighted. Overall, you will get a lot of value for you money!
