Not in the center of Medina, but close to it. All the major sights in a walking distance. Perfect for a young couple. The interieur was very charming and inspiring. All the staffs (Abdullah, Khawla) were super friendly, rooms and the yard were kept clean. The only reproach goes to "la reponsable" (do not remeber the name) who could have been much more accomodating and flexible to our needs and much less suspicious. The breakfest on the rooftop with a skyline of Atlas mountains was amazing and unforgettable.

I booked a last minute trip to Morocco for my boyfriend and I. The reviews looked great and there was a good deal on so an inexpensive 4 day break. We booked the transfer service thinking it would be the quickest way to get us to the riad, however we had to wait for another plane to arrive with one of our passengers, this would have been fine if only someone had explained this to us not merely pointed to the side of the airport and indicated we should wait. On arriving at Riad Hadika Maria we were greeted by a very smiley man who unfortunately failed to introduce himself. He also completely failed to give us any information regarding where the lounge, terrace or other facilities were, no mention was made of the strict breakfasting times either. The next morning we were woken by someone knocking on the door telling us to go for breakfast which was a little odd as breakfast was cold and therefor could have been served at any time. The staff were friendly and pleasant but had very little English so communication was difficult, in particular when we discovered our bathroom had no hot water!!!! A matter that was not resolved.
The riad was beautifully decorated and in a very peaceful part of the medina. However, there were lots of little things that did not live up to expectation: none of the fountains were on; there were no fresh flowers anywhere. Small things but they make a difference.
Overall we really enjoyed our trip but I was a litlle dissapointed by the riad as it had promised so much.

After a turbulent flight with several hours delay, we felt very lucky to be welcomed by the transfer service of the Riad Hadika Maria at the airport on Marrakech.
The location was perfect, close enough to the Djemaa el-Fna and souks to easily explore but just far enough away to escape the noise. The courtyard provided a lovely, relaxing setting to enjoy a drink at the end of the day and the terrace offered a great view of the Medina. Leticia and her staff, Alyma, Raoula and Abdellah were really excellent, friendly and helpful and looked after us so well. We had a couple of meals at the Riad which were prepared by the staff with freshly bought local produce and were really delicious traditional Morrocan dishes. We also had a private massage there and would recommend this, very invigorating!
We couldn't recommend this Riad highly enough, it was just what we were looking for in terms of location, service and setting and Leticia was a great host who made some really helpful recommendations for our first visit to Marrakech. They also sold beer and wine, which was an added bonus!

We stayed at this Riad for about a week and enjoyed the nicely decorated and clean rooms, the peaceful patio with small pool, the very helpful staff, the breakfasts, the occassional dinner, and its perfect location (central, close to the madrasa, mosque and souk, but not in the middle of all the medina's noise). Definitely recommended.

This is a beautiful riad, which lives up to all the pictures. The cooks and housekeeping staff are lovely and only to happy to do things for you.

The breakfast isn't great. Baguette and jam/pain aux chocolat.

However, I gave the service one star because the man we booked the riad with (the manager) forgot we were coming. We had no driver, despite having arranged one and were left on the street in the Medina at 23:30 at night, as nobody was at the riad waiting for us. Thankfully, some kind neighbours took us in and their son ran out and found the housekeeper for us, otherwise we would have been sleeping in their house!

The staff didn't know we were coming. There was no wifi, despite being advertised and somebody else was in our room. On calling the manager, he said he would come to the riad the next day to explain, but didn't show up. We spent the rest of the week trying to get in touch with him. He totally let the quality of this riad down.

I could have accepted a mistake, if he'd just owned up, but he didn't, he just tried to avoid us.

It is a beautiful riad with lovely staff, but if anything goes wrong, don't rely on Patrique to sort it out.

A shame because our room was gorgeous and we would like to stay again, but his customer service undermined the wonderful job the staff are doing. Also, if you don't speak French, it's difficult to communicate with the staff, especially if something goes wrong.

Needless to say we left a gift for those kind neigbours.

My partner, kids, and I just got back from an excellent trip to Marrakech. Our kids are 3 and 5 years old, and we weren't sure how it would work staying at a riad together, and how we'd all handle the intense city of Marrakech. But it worked out great, thanks in part to Riad Hadika Maria. We had rainy, cold weather, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor spaces of the riad so much, but the staff was very friendly and helpful, and patient with my poor French. (One staff member spoke some English, which helped.)

The best thing about the riad is its location. It's in a part of the Medina which doesn't have too much motorbike or car traffic, yet it's easy to walk to a plaza and catch a taxi, and it's a short walk to the Medersa Ben Youssef, the Museum of Marrakech, and the Souks. We have some other friends who stayed in a different part of the Medina, and were stressed out by all the traffic and noise on the streets. This wasn't our experience at all, but then when we went to their neighborhood, we understood what they meant, and realized how lucky we were to be at Hadika Maria!

The riad is truly magnificent and perfectly located inside the old city. The place was so lovely and peaceful that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the place to discover the city. Everybody was helpful and sweet to us. We loved the pool, the terrasse and the fine tastes of our hosts in decorating such a huge space. We can't wait to be back !!!!

I definitely recommand this riad!!!!
