“only for the French!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014

On first impressions hotel seemed lovely despite the badly organised arrival hotel was pretty and well laid out. Food was excellent lots of choice.

however....

Entertainment was poor ! on one night the had young children dancing very provocatively!! Dangerous snakes let loose within inches of people accident waiting to happen!

Rooms cleaned daily which is good, Only problem was the maid stole our money!! Hotel staff suddenly couldn't speak english and fobbed us off!!!! not impressed!

Morocco is lovely just don't stay here!

Wont be going back!

And i got strung by a scorpion!

Room Tip: not by the pool

We are a party of 4 and just arrived home after spending the week at this hotel. The airport is amazing and well sign posted. We arrived at the hotel the decoration inside was amazing. The girl on the desk couldnt speak much English and thought we were checking out! We got given a map and information about the hotel - French copies only! Anyway the rooms were amazing the gardens and pools just amazing and so many different activities to do - everything written in French - not much english! The food and snacks just divine - fabulous food wide variety, amazing flavours. The waiting staff really helpful. Some of the waiting and bar staff had really good english. We had food in the italian restaurant the waiter Adraoui served everyone on his own he was so lovely, always smiling and did an amazing job, they should have given him some one else to help out though.
The shop inside had times of opening on but was never open!!
The entertainment again all in French - no explanation of what was going on in English even though they asked if there were English people! When they did a show and tell on what the children had been doing we found unbearable - children dancing very provocatively for such young ages!
The lady sat organising tours spoke good English and was fantastic she gave us all the information we needed and provided us with brilliant tours!
We had money stolen from our room which was in the wardrobe under clothes when we spoke with reception staff who didn't speak hardly any English - in fact waiting staff spoke better English than them! They kept making us wait for ages then said it was our fault even though when they checked the room card machine to see if anyone else had been in it took 3 of them to have a discussion about it and acted very shifty. We know and they know the chamber maid had taken the money but they were covering it up. The manager of chambermaids told the main manager who didnt come and speak to us at all. At this point we were disgusted and felt like it wasnt a problem. We had seen the chambermaid that morning and after we had reported it and told to see the manager at 10, then 11, then 12, then had to wait 45 minutes for them to do what ever they were suppose to do - there was no rush in this - I asked had they spoken to the maid and coincidently they were on holiday!!! Even though we had seen her! We wouldnt recommend any English to stay here as you are made to feel un welcome, it felt they didnt even know that English people were staying in the hotel! Couldnt fault the waiting staff they were amazing and definitely put the reception and higher staff members to shame! They wouldnt even call us a taxi to the airport!! And the French were very rude and waste sooo much food!!! We would have gone back but as our last few days approached and the money was stolen the way it was handled we then found fault in other areas which is now why i have given a very true report of our stay here. Definitely not going back!

Once upon a time there was a guy looking forward to visiting Marrakech he went to this very hotel and was very pleased, everything was perfect... Three years after he wanted to try the same hotel as he thought it would only get better. After his arrival everyone had a sad and nostalgic look on their faces, half the employees were gone the food was terrible as the budget got very low, the animation was not satisfying and the rooms didn't change a bit and he could smell the sleeping odor in them, aside from that there was no soda fountain the choice of drinks was very limited, the gym had very few machines that you can choose from "no weights", the quality clients has left the hotel so you can observe that only the lower class stayed at this hotel which was very unpleasant. Briefly, the hotel was not enjoyable for him at all and it wasn't a hard decision to make when it came to never coming back.

Just got back from a great trip to this hotel with my partner and three teenagers, we found the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, they accommodated our request for interconnecting rooms, the food was good and plentiful and the entertainment great, (not many hotels in the world that have their own trapeze you can learn to have a go on!) can't fault it, so ignore the bad reviews, in my experience there will always be a hard core of people that just like to moan.
Great value for money for an all inclusive.

I was very sceptical about coming here because of the reviews however it has turned out to be nothing but fabulous. I really can't see how many of the issues written about in previous reviews can be substantiated - we are a family of six. On arrival we waited no longer than in other airports for entry to the baggage collection area. The heat was something else however our driver we booked was there to collect us. The hotel itself is a little dated but to be honest it is functional and spotless. A most friendly team at reception upon arrival including the lovely Abdel who was really helpful. He brought us on a short tour of the hotel. Rooms were fine- spotless and we're cleaned daily. Lovely air conditioning as it is very hot!! Staff at the restaurant couldn't have been nicer - especially Reda and Tachi (the breakfast guy) Couldn't be more helpful and we're really kind towards my children. My special needs little boy went missing on our first morning (for 5 mins but felt like an hour) The waiters downed tools to help us look for him and since then they have kept a close eye on our son (although we don't keep our eyes off him either!)
We are still here and will be going home on Weds. I can definitely say we will be back next year. By the way if you are into fish and chips, football, beer guzzling etc then this is not the hotel for you! Beautiful food and a lovely culture awaits you.

We stayed for one week at Club Eldorador and had the most enjoyable experience. I was a bit anxious after reading some reviews but our stay was flawless.
The room was basic but clean and well maintained, it was everything we needed. The Hotel itself was lovely. Beautiful gardens. Two swimming pools. One for activities and one to unwind and relax and lots of other activities from table-tennis to boule or even archery.

We cannot confirm issue with staff others have described. Everyone was friendly and attentive.
During lunch and dinner they always made sure that our beverages were refilled and we had everything we needed. An issue that occurred with our toilette was handled immediately .
Although we both don't speak French communication was no issue. Most of the staff including all the reception spoke English. And those with only limited language skills made every effort to communicate with us.

The food overall was very good. They had a very broad variety on the lunch and dinner buffet, it was impossible not to find something to your liking. Only for the breakfast buffet there could have been more variety. A selection of fruits or Yoghurt. But you could get freshly squeezed orange juice every morning.

Overall we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Lovely clean hotel with lots of activities (although to enjoy them all, like dancing classes, you should understand French to a certain degree), friendly staff and great location. The hotel is located outside Marrakech so it's very quiet. To get into town there's a shuttle bus which takes about 20-30 minutes to get you to the city with the last bus returning at 10pm.
We've already decided that we will return to Marrakech as there's still so much to see. And we will definitely stay in Club Eldorador again.

We had a lot of problems with this hotel. We changed rooms 3 times due to no air conditioning, then not enough beds and finally were given an ok room. But they messed up our booking and we spent hours trying to sort it out with no help from reception and were met with rudeness from staff, despite it being their error!! The complex itself has a lot to offer, gardens are well kept and pools are nice with a variety of activities. But the food was poor and the 'restaurant' had a canteen feel. Wouldn't recommend it or return. Best part was a trip to Atlas Mountains
