We had a lovely week at this hotel despite concerns over negative reviews. Yes it maybe isn't a five star hotel , there were a few issues with it being dated but all the staff were friendly and very helpful which made our stay enjoyable. For us the location was great- away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina- but very walkable.
If you go to the hotel visit the small boutiques on site. They are not well signposted but the assistants are great and the prices comparable to what you would pay in the Medina without the hassle.
