“Really nice Riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

I have never stayed in a Riad before - but I really enjoyed my stay here. There is a lovely central courtyard with a pool and every morning you are woken by bird song. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very individual. The showers are good and there is air con (I did not need it because the rooms are pleasantly cool). The Wi-Fi is free and a reasonable speed. There is a nice roof terrace with good views. I chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor ratings and one consistent comment was that the breakfast was always pancakes. I am pleased to report that the hotel has obviously taken this on board, because we had a different sort of traditional cake or bread (along with ordinary bread) every morning - the breakfasts were actually very nice.

Fantastic location right next to Jemaa el Fna, though without the noise. Beautiful, charming Riad with a friendly, english-speaking staff. Breakfast the only thing to complain about, but you get some food, tea/coffee and superb orange juice. And the local cuisine is just up the Derb... Perfect place to stay in Marrakech!

Even as seasoned travellers, we were unprepared for the assault on the senses we experienced being dropped off at the far side of Jemaa El Fna and walking the 10 minutes across the square with our cases. However, the Riad offered us a quiet, peaceful and totally unexpected sanctuary in the middle of all the bustle, noise and frenetic activity. Quite simply, it made the holiday for us. Every time we left the Riad to visit the souks, or explore the local area, we returned, hot, tired and dusty to an oasis of calm and sanity, which quickly restored our energy. The staff were attentive and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The plunge pool proved a blessing as we visited in mid August. Because the Riad only has a few rooms, which are all individually decorated, it felt very exclusive and everyone was incredibly friendly when discussing the days adventures. Would highly recommend this jewel in the city.

The pictures really do this place justice, absolutely beautiful restored riad and perfect place to stay. Just a stone's throw from the souks and Jemaa El Fna but a calm, peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Lovely rooms, all individual as far as I could tell. There is a pleasant seating area on the roof and a few sun loungers. The staff were so helpful and kind. They helped with porters and travel arrangements that were meant to be arranged but were lacking with our travel company. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: You can here barely anything from the outside world but the open nature of the riad and the old wood...

This is a fantastic place to stay when you visit Marrakesh. It is very central, 3min from the central place Jemaa el Fna and the Souks. The Riad and the room are very clean, tidy and nicely looked after, the breakfast is very good, but most importantly the staff is absolutely spot on, very kind and helpful !!! We had a great time staying in this beautiful riad !

A beautiful place to stay. Staff could not have been more friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Roof terrace is a wonderful place to relax out of the madness of the city centre. We loved our stay there and just a two mins walk from the centre of everything.

Room Tip: We asked for a suite as we knew the room would be bigger. The rooms can be a bit on the small side...

Stayed here in September 2011 and what a welcome oasis this place is in the chaotic madness that is Marrakech. Having read other reviews, we chose to organise tranfers through the hotel and arranged for the staff to meet us where the taxi dropped us off and we would strongly recommend this to anyone, espcially if you are arriving at night time - for those who have never been to Marrakech, it is an assault on the senses and trying to navigate the main square with little idea where you are going just isn't worth it.

This Riad (like all Riad's) is tucked away down a tiny side street within the main town walls just off the main square and traffic isn't allowed inside the main walls so you have to make your way there on foot and no matter how good a map you may think you have, you would struggle to find this place - this can be fun during the dayime, but when you first arrive, it could prove bewildering.

The Riad itself is beautiful and tranquil. The rooms all appear to be quite large with traditional polished plaster walls overlooking the central 'courtyard' area which includes the plunge pool which is a welcome relief from the heat of the city. There is also a pleasant roof terrace, which is perfect for a relaxing drink at sunset. Note that it isn't always easy to get an alcoholic drink in Marrakech, even in many restaurants.

Staff are unintrusive yet attentive and breakfast was a simple yet tasty affair.

Marrakech really is an experience and I'd probably recommend a long weekend rather than a full week's holiday as the constant noise and chaos could become tiring after a while.

Room Tip: Get the hotel to meet you when you first arrive.
