“Lovely riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

2 of us stayed here 23-27 April. It's a lovely riad; calm and peaceful and a little bit away from the madness of the central medina. The rooftop terrace is a great place to lounge in the heat and the Wi-Fi came in handy too. The room was spotless and pretty and the breakfast was lovely. Simo and his staff are very pleasant but unobtrusive - we'd been to Marrakech before so more or less knew our way around, but I know if we'd needed help it would be there. The driver is lovely, a real gentleman. I found this trip to Marrakech a bit challenging (37 degree heat and I think we're getting a bit old for the hectic nature of the place!) but Riad dar Beldia was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ground floor where we were might be a little noisier than upstairs as it's next to reception, bu...

2 of us stayed here April 11 to 15th! From the moment we were picked up from the airport till our sad goodbyes we were treated to simply the best hospitality by Simo and his staff! There was no request not catered for...from giving us top tips, arranging excursions and answering our endless questions about what best to do in Marrakech. The Riad is beautifully kept and breakfast on the rooftop each morning a real treat. The free wi if was also an added bonus as was the Riad's location to many of the top sights.

Riad Dar Beldia was simply everything you need and more! The staff were extremely welcoming and overwhelmingly helpful at all times. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by the nicest driver who gives you water and hand sanitizer. It was clear from the beginning that their hospitality was like no other. We received mint tea upon arrival at the Riad and were simply blown away as you enter the serene atmosphere. A positive energy flows through you, in particular as you go to the roof terrace with the sun and sound of birds singing. After long days out, Riad Dar Beldia is absolutely the place you want to return to. It really does feel like you're home thanks to the kindness and attention to detail from all the staff. The chef is incredible, cooking the most amazing tajine upon request and a tasty breakfast each day with fresh orange juice. The location is perfect, not far from the main square Jmaa al Fnaa and the small square even nearer. It's also in good distance of the Hivernage area where there are some great restaurants. Simon catered to our every need, with great tips and advice of Marrakech. He even brought through Birthday cake for myself with breakfast, a wonderful touch! I honestly cannot say anything bad about this Riad, it was more than i ever expected and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech! Especially for the first time, you are guaranteed an excellent trip. Merci Beaucoup Riad Dar Beldia

I am not normally a person that writes reviews on hotels etc. but I felt that I had to let others know about this wonderful Riad. I spent 4 wonderful nights here with 3 friends and can only praise Simo and Khalid for their kindness and caring consideration, nothing being too much trouble for them. The rooms and communal areas of this Riad were spotless. I have been to Marrakech before having stayed in a 5 star hotel, but would highly recommend this Riad to others. Thank you Simo and Khalid for making our stay enjoyable. Khalid please say hello to Mahmud, our personal cab driver.

4 of us stayed here 5-9th March. Simon and Khalid could not have been more considerate, with no request too much trouble. The Riad was spotless, and the rooftop terrace was lovely, very peaceful, a great escape from the hustle and bustle outside.
Highly recommended to many people since I have returned home.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on ground floor.

We arrived in Marrakech at 8pm so we booked a hotel transfer to make the process easier for us. It was well worth it as the riad is down a narrow street where a taxi can't go. When we arrived we were served mint tea in the beautiful courtyard before being shown to our room. We stayed in the 'Bahia' room on the 2nd floor (when we booked there was only this and the smallest room available - glad we booked this one as the small one is on the ground floor right near where everyone check in and out). The room was a good size and had a nicely decorated bathroom. The next morning the owner gave us a map and lots of information about the city and we ventured out to explore. When we returned to the hotel we spent a few hours on their beautiful rooftop having a cold drink and watching the sunset - you can see the walls of the royal palace from there. The hotel was within a 10min walk of Djeema el Fna, Bahia palace and Saadian Tombs. There was also a convenience store on the corner and some nice restaurants only a 5 min walk away. We will definitely stay again if we go back to Marrakech.
