“WAS ONCE A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

The hotel looks quite impressive, BUT!
Good things
The rooms are of a good size and not bad, beds comfy, bathroom fine.
Some staff where very very helpful, others not at all or just indifferent.
BAD Things
Other than the room and breakfast you can get NOTHING.
No bar, No water, No Money exchange, No cafe, No Tea or Coffee.
Luckily we were so busy with our own guide we just slept there and had breakfast on a very busy short break, and it was a cheap flight and hotel deal.
I would HATE to stay here for a real holiday

What a filthy place. There were ants on the floor of our 3rd floor room, no toilet paper an ancient towel the size of a hand towel for 2 of us to share, mould on the shower curtain, and rings galore on the bath. The plug sockets were hanging off the wall, the tiny rug filthy
we stayed 20 mins until we moved out.

Hmm, well it looks good enough and quite impressive, rooms BIG, clean, comfy BEDS. Some staff beyond out of there way to be helpful and were, others just there. It was once a great hotel, I think the management maybe just not bothered out of season. but it has nothing, other than breakfast it has NOTHING, you cannot even get a coffee, water, drink of any kind, just very bizarre. Thankfully we had organised all our time before we arrived, and just had 2 very busy days, and 3 nights at hotel, BUT I could not imagine staying here for a saved up holiday, this hotel was part of a cheap deal we booked with this hotel as the only option in it.

The Corail Hotel is ok, it's staff are fine but not over motivated. The location is not bad but you get what you pay for. Cheap and basic. They clean the rooms everyday but the staff can only work with what they have. One thing I will say is be cautious about booking any trips with the agent at the reception. We booked a trip to the waterfalls and discovered we were charged much more than the other people on the trip. If your expectations aren't too high it fulfills you requirements.

We soent 3 nights at this hotel and found it quite fair for the price. Rooms was clean and looked like a standard US hotel. Employees were really nice to us and tried to be as helpful as possible. The breakfast was no big deal however.

For the price (522 dirham a night) We found the Corail to be quite fair. The pool with bar was a real delight at the end of a 49 degrees day! Believe me! OF course It is located in the new part of Marrakech, so if you think its going to be Medina typical.. you'll be disapointed but it is about 100 meters from the central train station.. and you'll have to pay around 25 dirhams (2,60 us dollars) for a taxi ride to the medina... so no big deal)

Beware if you book an expedition with Maroc Quad Passion. The guy in the hotel who is representing this compagny is nice and honest, but their prestations and expeditions are horrible/

Staff was generally good. Staff in the day is more pleasant and helpful than staff during the night. Needs work on cleanliness. However the hotel is ideally located for all the main attractions. Rooms were adequate and as most people dont spend all day in the hotel perfectly fine for its purpose. Therefore overall would stay here again simply due to its location. Breakfast needs a complete overhaul. Not great!

stayed here 3 nights, on arrival they would not accept a card payment!! cash only, no invoice!!
no information provided on hotel facilities or breakfast.
room was clean & comfortable enough, nothing special but for morocco in general....
key card kept faulting which was annoying, no english tv channel, not that you come to sit in the room watching tv but some news is nice of a bedtime.
the water was at best tepid & on one occasion was not available at all for few hours.
some street noise, nothing unbearable.
the bar & cafe/restaurant did not appear to open & i suppose my biggest disappointment would be the pool, or lack of it!! portrayed as an indoor pool, well yes it is indoors but i would suggest its no bigger in size than "shreks foot spa" i was looking forward to a swim!!
staff were ok but nothing forthcoming in terms of advice or hospitality, didn't speak the best english!!
looked bemused when i asked for toilet paper, none provided in room, when asked at reception i was taken by someone to a room & given half a roll!! i made it last, but really, basics!!
I'd stay here again but would look first for similar priced hotels in the area, marrakech is such a great place you don't want to be in a hotel but I'm sure theres better for the money.
