Very friendly staff. Great service. Very clean and very warm restored palace in the medina. Well positioned and a short walk to most sites. There is a terrace for sunbathing and some nice views overlooking the medina. Make a reservation for dinner in the morning. Everything is made in-house and is quite good. Like the rest of Fez, a bit quieter in the off season.

Riad Laroussa is a beautiful Riad perfectly situated inside the medina of Fez. The rooms are everything I ever dreamed of for staying in Morocco -- 30-40 foot ceilings in our suite -- a traditional room off the courtyard -- decorated in the perfect mix of Moroccan handcrafted items mixed with modern touches. The public spaces are even more spectacular -- a courtyard with orange trees laden by ripe fruit and rooftop terraces offering sunshine and 360 degree views.

However, the best part of Riad Laroussa has to be the welcoming people, dogs and cat! The staff are all smiling and helpful and the owners are incredibly engaging, smart and interesting with useful information about Fez and Morocco -- a place they clearly love and care for. (And their kids are completely charming!)

We felt privileged to be part of this family for a couple of days.

(Oh... and the food! The food is spectacular! We could not get enough of the mnemmon (breakfast crepes) and dinners are refined Moroccan cuisine -- absolutely spectacular -- (and spaghetti noodles for our littlest children made dinner easy too!)

We loved our stay at Riad Laaroussa. Although our room was one of the smaller ones, it was cozy and actually provided plenty of room for us and our luggage. The public space is great with many fireplaces. The food was excellent and the staff is exceptional. Always willing to do anything they could to help make our stay better. They arranged a couple of terrific guides as well. The riad itself is just gorgeous from the courtyard to the terrace.

Smiling, helpful Laarbi met us at the main road and carried our luggage to the riad. We were greeted by the warm wonderful staff. It was a cold night and the fire in the fire place in our room was most welcome. We had ordered a vegan meal for dinner the first night and it was delicious. We stayed in the Green Room for two nights in the Cream Suite for one night. Both rooms were beautiful and very, very comfortable. The staff is fantastic - FZ, Fati Flower, Fatima Twila, Sabah, Badiae and everyone else were not only helpful but pleasant, happy and charming. Breakfast was delicious as were the dinners. We ate there every night. I recommend the hammam and spa at the riad. It was very professional and so relaxing. The location of the riad could not be better. If you are in Fez this is the place to stay.
