If you are visiting Morocco, you should definitely include the historic soul of the country--Fes. If you want to live like a king you should stay in Riad Fes.

We had the most amazing stay at Riad Fes. First of all, the riad is absolutely flawless. A perfect combination of traditional Moroccan tiles, woodwork, plaster and textiles meet with chic modern touches. You wander around the riad and marvel at every nook and cranny. The rooms are wonderful and you are treated like royalty everywhere you go in the property.

The restaurant is the best in Fes, breakfast and dinner were incredible. The staff is warm and attentive. The service is amazing on every level. I simply can't find anything wrong with this enchanting place. It is perfectly located right in the Medina--don't forget to ask the hotel to hire you a guide--you will need one. Don't worry that there is only a minimal pool. You won't miss it with the charming roof terrace.

Riad Fes...

Out of all my traveling experiences, the one at Riad Fes has to be on top of the list. I've yet to see another place with such decor and charm in every single space. The warmth and charisma of all of its employees, makes you feel as you're a king/queen.

For those of you who live for the culinary art, you MUST eat at the Riad Fes. Because of the ellaborated work and condimentation that each of the Moroccan dishes need, the Riad Fes requests its guests choose their dinner early in the morning. You may be strolling around the narrow streets of the Medina but on and off your taste butts will trigger as you think about the meal awaiting for you at the hotel. Once you sit at the table and smell and taste dishes such as couscous, pastilla, lamb kedra, tagine, etc... you'll be delightful. If Riad Fes was to import its cuisine to the world, it would make it an automatic 5 stars establishment. Did I mention the breakfast is complimentary and it's one of the most amazing meals I've had?

The rooms and the decor of the hotel are fabulous. Each and every room has pieces of art you would only see at a palace. The entire property is impecable. I would almost pay if someone was to show me a bit of dust.

The location of the hotel is very convenient as a taxi is able to drop you off within 2 blocks away from the hotel. This leaves a lot of relieve for those who are hesitant about strolling around the Medina on their own. If you need any information about the hotel I'd suggest you contact Cezarina who is one of the most professional and sympathetic hotel managers I've met.

The hotel also has one of the most amazing views of the city of Fes. You can go up to the terrace and admire all the centuries of architecture that are displayed across the Medina while holding a hot cup of mint tea.

If you're visiting Morocco and you decide to spend some time in Fes, the Riad Fes is the way to go. Please ask them to refer you to the most amazing guide in town (Jamal Gamil). He will show you Fes and take you back to the 9th, 13th and 20th centuries within hours.

Thanks a lot for such an amazing experience Riad Fes and we'll see you soon!!!

We stayed at Riad Fes for two nights, May 14 and 15, 2007. It was by far the BEST hotel at which we stayed during our two weeks in Morocco. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at a traditional Moroccan riad, wonderfully restored and excellently maintained. The staff are friendly, helpful, and we even received a complimentary upgrade due to them not being busy. I highly recommend Riad Fes and would definitely stay here once again should I return to Fez.

We had four nights at this Riad in room 'Nzala'. It was a great place, centrally located, very clean and in a stunningly maintained old Riad. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The bar and restaurant were excellent (the food was the best we had during our trip to Morocco).
