A fantastic restaurant with amazing food and hospitable hosts. We had a selection of different types of food including desserts and tea (although you do need to request tea) for 100 dirhams. The guys were lovely and not too pushy, which is a unique thing in Morocco! The place itself was extremely homely and great for couples if you are sitting outside.

Very hospitable, the staff gives you a warm reception and is readily available to help you out with every issue big or small. Private and public spaces are all like a fairytale. Furthermore the riad is located in the medina, you just have to take one step out to discover more amazing places. They serve nice food as well. To keep it real here is my only remark

Room Tip: Just ask for it

My friends and I were traveling through Morocco and ended up with an extra night with no place to stay. Luckily, we came across Riad Louna which was one of the nicest hotels of the whole trip. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, the breakfast delicious, and the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone!

Out of quite a few riads that I have had a chance to spend at least a night at, this one stays in the memory for being very well run by its manager, Simo. Very good impression was left already by the communication from his side right after booking the room. He gave very clear instructions how to get to the place, which I think can be very helpful for first-time visitors of Fes (I am already familiar with the medina, so it was not at all hard to find it).
We were greeted by Moha and he showed us our room, the beige suite. The room Massria was very pleasant, spotlessly clean and spacious enough. We enjoyed the fact that it had a private entrance to the terrace since it was sunny during our stay and we used the terrace a lot. We ate a couple of times at the restaurant upstairs which I wrote about in its own review.
The breakfast served in the morning was delicious and filling. Overall, a great experience at a well-run riad. Recommended.

Room Tip: Beige room was great!

Riad Louna is a well comfortable riad placed near the main entrance of the medina! It's pretty, clear, suggestive and very characteristic! Mohammad is a perfect home owner and there's no problem who he can't solve for you! If you are searching for a full immersive medina experience that's the right place! Ah... Breakfast and dinner are very good and typical! Try them at all costs!!

Very nice riad in a strategic position in the medina. Despite not having assigned the chosen room, I had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is really huge and nice, the manager Mohamed was really nice and helpful. We also had dinner there and I strongly recommend you to do so: it was not my first time in Morocco and their tajine was between the best I've ever tried. The italian speaking guide that they booked for us for the medina tour was so good, I recommend it too.

Room Tip: Choose Beige room and not the one close to the entrance as the bell ringing will wake you up early i...

A group of 5 of us ended up staying at Riad Louna because apparently there was an electrical fault at Riad Baba which we had actually booked. The riad is in a great location near the blue gate. Our room was fine but the shower was cold\luke warm everyday. Breakfast on the terrace was relaxing and tasty. The main concern was that the key we had for our room opened the door of other rooms and presumably other guests keys also opened ours....we discovered this after accidentally going to the wrong room. In addition we were told that we had to leave our room key hung up by the front door every time we went out so that our room could be cleaned and they didn't have a spare key as other guests had left with the keys in the past. Mohammad, who was running the riad whilst we were there, could not explain why they couldn't just get more keys cut or use the other keys in the riad which probably opened our door anyway!

They charged us 30 Euros for a taxi from the airport but on the way back we booked it ourselves and it only cost 14 Euros, similarly they tried to charge us 94 Euros per person for a day trip to the Middle Atllas but we went to the Clock Cafe and managed to book the exact same trip for 18 Euros per person. I wouldn't recommend the guide offered by the riad....for 28 Euros he spent the majority of the morning taking us to shops clearly owned by his friends who then attempted to sell us their wares. The 'tour' then ended with a visit to an expensive restaurant full of other tourists.

Overall the riad is fine for a cheap, basic stay but I'd recommend staying clear of any extras they will try and offer you.
