“beautiful worth the time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Lovely unique mosaic work and great history. Easy access and this city is very safe especially in the day time. Get a good company to take you to Morocco like NatGeo

“Can't go in, worth it for the bronze doors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

The bronze doors at the front of the Palace are an outstanding example of bronze working and decoration. The palace is very near the Jewish quarter, we went there as part of that visit.

we drove for a bit through Fes and came to the junction of the 14th century and 20th century - interesting, but only because of the history provide by our guide (via Rough Tours)

“Beautiful Architecture”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

You can't go in, as it is not open to the public and is surrounded by local army and guards (it is also illegal to take pictures of them). But the outside architecture is amazing! The courtyard in front of the gates is also beautiful, and great for pictures.

“You can't go in but you can see it from the outside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

And you should. Also don't take pictures of any other entrance but the large main one. They really don't like it and will let you know. The front is ornate and interesting enough and it's real close to the Jewish Quarter so you can combine the trip with a tour of that area.
