“A haven for large tour groups.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Large rooms with a few Moroccan touches. One bathroom with toilet and bidet but no sink, and a second bathroom with a shower and sink. Lukewarm water from the shower. Painted arched doors and woven rugs in the room. Comfortable firm mattresses. TV and mini fridge.

Located far from the Fez medina and not within walking distance of any restaurants. Only saving grace of the location is that it's near a large supermarket (that sells liquor). The hotel's bowling alley, gym (featuring equipment from the 1980's), and hammam are empty.

Free wifi in the lobby. Food is costly but not tasty. Claims to be a five star hotel but definitely doesn't feel like one.

Stayed two nights. Very nice lobby and pool. Rooms were large and nicely furnished with couch and refrigerator. Large supermarket a short walk away, but not near nice restaurants or town. Breakfast was nothing special but okay.

We were here for 2 nights as part of a Cosmos tour. The hotel is not 5 stars as they say but more like 3 stars. Our first room, the AC & refrigerator didn't work. We changed the 2nd night to a bigger room w/ a balcony and AC & refrigerator that did work. They have 2 pools, one exclusively for hotel guests which was in the shade in the afternoon and a big pools that was very nice but crowded. Staff were helpful. Free WiFi in the public areas...nice shop w/ good prices. Dinner and breakfast boring...though there was a woman making the homemade bread at breakfast. Walking distance to a hugh market/department store.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony

A very comfortable pretty hotel - nice room with a little seating area and a well appointed bathroom. Efficient reception. Lovely foyer. Disappointing food - quite bland. Moroccan food should be more spicy?? Is the kitchen catering for a specific palate and cooking traditional Morrocan food?

We found the hotel very dark as the lights were turned off even in the evening and nights, they had a switch that you had to press , every time you need to pass through, otherwise you are walking in the dark, the food was nothing special, but just ordinary food, the hotel staff were friendly , but the reception desk needs to be more caring and cater for the needs of the guests.
Room service and Housekeeping lines were never answered at any times, the only line phone that were answered were the reception, A huge hotel with lots of rooms, but very few guests, we asked for a late check out as our flight was not leaving till later in the afternoon, but were flatly refused, so we checked out and sat in the hotel lobby for 4 hours, even though the hotel only had less than 10% occupancy at that time.

Traditional decor, comfortable, food pretty standard for Moroccan hotel - nothing special, pleasant grounds, excellent pools area, staff nice, location nowhere in particular; easy walking distance of huge hypermarket worth visiting.

Room Tip: nothing to say

The pool area was lovely, and we enjoyed an afternoon by the pool with Casablanca beers. The young man by the bar was occasionally hard to find, and we were fortunate enough to have asked for pool towels (these seem to be held in a cabana area and have to be provided by the staff. As a result, many from our tour resorted to using their room towels.

As we were a trio sharing a room, we were pleasantly surprised with a large room which provided us with some space! Wifi was available in the public areas, some of our group were able to access it from their room, but this seemed to depend on distance from the public areas. So, ask for a room close to the lifts if you want wi fi in your room! The food was not great - had 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner.

Generally, the hotel was ok. The pool was great though. Obviously is not close to anything though, but as we were on a tour, this did not bother us.
