“Decent introduction to Morocco”

We arrived later than we should have, as our coach had broken down en route! However, distribution of rooms etc. was dealt with efficiently enough by our courier and reception.
As we were late, it was a bit of a rush for the restaurant for dinner on the first night. The self-service buffet was adequate but not brilliant. Certain items of crockery and cutlery seemed to be in short supply! A similar situation with the catering and service was also experienced on the next evening (when we were not late, so no excuse!).
The hotel is quite a way out of the main town and although there is a small souvenir-type shop in the foyer it was not open much. They had no street maps for guests - we acquired ours from the little shop across the road! Also just across the road on the corner is a very nice reasonably-priced cafe bar where we had an excellent lunchtime snack the next day.
It is hard to rate value as we were part of an organised tour with dinner, room and breakfast all paid in advance.

Rooms are very spartan, in bad need of refurbishment. Beds are just horrible. Food is variation of the same everyday and worse of all service in the restaurant is terrible, unorganized and rude. Night service unavailable and hotel looks deserted during the night with night receptionist sleeping in the guest area of the lobby. At the reception there is no single leaflet or city information. In the bar one have to chase waiter, the same as in the restaurant and if you want the receipt you have to wrestle the same from the waiter.

It has a very good location, near the city center, a big mall and McDonalds. Breakfast and Dinner have good and enough food. An attractive lounge and balcony. Unfortunately during the night you will hear strange noises from the wall, the A/C, the water pipes, which might wake you up!

The rooms here felt like my apartment back home. Everything was in its own separate room. One difference though: the toilet was in a separate room from the bathroom. There is a gift shop in the lobby beyond the front desk. There's also a sauna and barber shop. A terrace with wonderful views is accessible from the lobby. A train even passed by as tracks are in this view.
The breakfast served in the restaurant was delicious. Free Wi-Fi and, finally, an electric razor outlet in the room set to American voltage so I could charge my tablet.
The TV is only in Arabic and French, save the second France 24 channel that broadcasts in English.
Main avenue and plaza just a very short walk from the hotel. Also a short walk from the hotel? A McDonald's.
Would most definitely stay here again!

Exotic if dated hotel, the lobby ceiling is amazing, rooms ok apart from backing onto the train line but trains are infrequent. The better rooms overlook the gardens and pool. Food is adequate Moroccan. Note the women who owns the convenience store opposite the hotel is an Australian and very friendly and helpful. She has lived in Morocco for decades.

No problem with noise, my room was facing the pool, only noise heard was the one of the train. The pool was good, the room was spacious enough and no problems with the cleaning. The food was ok, but the breakfast could have more fruit.
The hotel is well situated, you can walk for 5 min to the main square were you can find good places to take coffee and stroll along the alley Moroccans call Champs Elysée

Beautiful hotel lobby and good food, especially the desserts. Across the street from Burger King and near a mall. A nice gift shop inside. Room keys are left on the counter, which makes me nervous. Better to take the key with you. No safes in the rooms.
