“Classic stay in Morocco”

The best thing in this hotel is the SERVICE> everyone is very very nice and polite.
Special thanks to Rachid and Hindi at the Management Service. they helped me with some very annoying administrative needs in NY.
The Breakfast is also delicious!

Room Tip: The rooms on the upper floors are more updated. Do not except any moroccan mood in your room. the ro...

The hotel has beautiful furnishings in a typical Moroccan style. The en-suite rooms were large, clean with a balcony. Unfortunately the safe in our room did not work and so we had to use the office's set of safes. The staff were generally very helpful although english is not widely spoken. However, as stated in other reviews, some were in fact quite rude. The problem we encountered was the fact that we were independent travellers. The hotel seemed to cater only for large touring groups which meant the food, which was mediocre and boring anyway, was virtually the same EVERY meal! It would have been nice to have had a variety of different tastes over our week's stay and, by way of example, to have had more fresh fruit rather than the tinned variety which was a real shame considering the fresh fruit that was on sale so cheaply outside the hotel! However, the bonus of having different groups come and go meant that we had the pool to ourselves for most of the day which was wonderful and unbelivable in the height of summer. So we could choose wherever we wanted to sit and to change sunbeds at will. There is a small childrens pool and a large well maintained deep adult pool with large steps at the shallow end which made for good sunbathing!Towels were provided and there was a poolside bar for food and drinks. There was always evening entertainment, local music etc which went on for a long time into the night which was annoying when we were trying to sleep as it was loud.We were there as half board what would have been better was to have been B & B and to use the hotel as a convenient base to explore this beautiful and interesting part of Morocco.

The location is good, it is near the avenue with many cafes. It is not super clean. I had a problem with the bathroom. Most of the staff doesn't speak English as in all hotels I have visited in Morroco. It is difficult to communicate and when they don't understand what you're saying the get rude (not all of them). The food is good.

Clean and pleasant rooms. Pool area was clean with supplies of beach towels at hand.
Breakfast merely passable, even the local cuisine.
Reception seems to believe that everyone books via Expedia. Had a few issues checking in as a result of this however was fairly painfree. Please note that local taxes are not included and are payable in the hotel, even if your booking states that these have already been paid!!!

Would advise that you steer clear of a driver by the name of Hasan who lurks around the hotel foyer (Chahyd Hassan) whose sole intention is deviate from your planned tour that you have booked with him whilst ripping you off in the process.

All in all a pleasant stay, good location to sample local fare and within easy walking distance of the main boulevard.

We stayed at the Royal Mirage in June. The name of the hotel says it all, the 5 star ness is a bit of a mirage. The are aspects of 5 star but all in all it's about 3 star comfortable. The rooms are clean but very lived in and in dire need of updating. The lighting in the room is not good.

They were aspects of hotel still under construction, but noise was minimal. The pool area is lovely. The service staff are fairly accommodating. The reception staff are not, make sure you always check your room receipts and that they don't try and make you pay city tax twice!

We sampled the restaurant buffet several times, on the whole food is very basic and pretty sure we (group of 6) got food poisoning from the buffet on our last evening!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your Feedback, We would like to share with you recent developments concerning the Hotel, and the noise you have mentioned that was minimal, is the noise of the upgrading of the Hotel as we are in operation, we had to seriously juggle the operation of renovation as you were more important to us to be provided with a comfortable stay. Again we extend our Thank you for your feedback and we hope you come and visit us again in the new rooms that are being renovated Art-deco. We will attach some of the new rooms’ pictures on Trip advisor for you to see.

Thank you

I am on a crusade to give accolades to those hotels that give free wifi, and thumbs down to those who charge exorbitant rates. Such as the Stamford at Sydney airport and the Novetel at Auckland airport. Fellow travelers give the thumbs down to hotels who over charge, if a Hotel as lovely as this one can give free wifi why can't all hotels.

Room Tip: Overlooking the pool is fun, noisy if one wants to go to sleep early but great if you want to enjoy...
