“Fantastic Location, Extremely Helpful Staff, Great Experience in Fez”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Selected this on basis of previous reviews on Tripadvisor which were all positive. Am glad to add to this positive line-up from this really great Riad in the Fez Medina. Well located in an easy to navigate part of the maze of the medina, near restaurants and sights. Great support from Younis who speaks excellent english and helped us with everything including an excellent day trip to Moulay Idriss, Volubilis with no difficulties whatsoever. Spacious, clean rooms with great sleep. Delicious filling breakfast to start off the days exploring. Would recommend.

One of the best places i've stayed. due mainly to the family and their amazing hospitality.
Nothing was too much trouble.
Nice food and well priced as it is fresh and cooked with care..
Clean sizable rooms, well priced rooms. Most with air con and seating area.
From the terrace is a fantastic view of the medina. worth a stay for this alone.

Ali, Younness, Mohammed and family, thanks again. See you soon. Inshallah!

Room Tip: All the rooms are usable but i would go for the double, just off the terrace. its big and has its ow...

We stayed here for four nights. We had the only rooftop room that was spacious, airy and bright. We found the riad to be very comfortable. It is run by a young Moroccan family who are very helpful, chatty and friendly. The sister of the family cooks the meals and we had a wonderful tagine dinner on the night of our arrival (prepared for us at very short notice). We have had number tagines in Morocco on our previous visits; this tagine was the best so far! We did hire a guide through the riad (our friends had also recommended hiring a guide) - but it was really not necessary as all the important sites are situated nearby one of the two main pedestrian alleys. The guide's 'programme' was to visit numerous handicraft shops to entice buying of the local produce in shops that were designed for western wallets!

Room Tip: Room 5 is on the rooftop.

I was at the maison for 3 days, a beautiful experience, the staff helped me a lot! They gave me several tips about Fes, and they also gave me the possibility to experience the traditional Hammam by suggesting me just the right place, an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life! If you're planning to go to Fes that's the place in which you want to be!! I hope to be back soon!!!

The family-run dar is located in the very heart of the medina, just a few footsteps from one of the two main alleys. It's very spacious and decorated nicely. Our room was clean and cosy, with a large bed and couch. But the very best about this place is its staff. The maroccan family gives you a warm welcome and provides all the service you need. Wether its the included breakfast, loundry to be done, directions for a restaurant or even if you want to buy a mosaic table, one of the members is at your help. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Thank you Younes and Ali for everything!

I stayed in this riad for 4 nights and was happy there. The place is spacious, nicely decorated and well located for the medina. Staff are helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and very good. All in all, a good value place to stay in the heart of Fes.
